I'm in the middle of exams at the moment and I feel like ds is getting no attention at all. I try to get a lot of work done while he's at school but when there are assessments coming up I need to work at the weekends as well. I was just wondering how everyone else does it. Is it possible to get a balance, or will ds just have to put up with having no mum for a couple of weeks?
I;m not a student but do have lots of work at home.
You should concentrate on your studies. DS will still have a mum and she will be making him proud by what she achieves!!!
WHat are you studying? What are your dreams?
Watching with interest as I'm starting a full time course next year.

exams are over!
I probably shouldn't worry too much about it, I just feel like ds had a really dull couple of weeks. I suppose there isn't really any solution. I need to study and ds will just have to entertain himself. Which he doesn't really mind doing, but I miss having time for him.
Only 4yrs to go! If I pass all these exams...

it does go in phases. sometimes i have to lock myself away for a whole day or so at a time. other times i have to make a huge effort to ignore the piles of study and take them out instead.
mostly i make sure i get an occasional day off during the week and work while they are at school and then make up placement time at the weekends and DH then deals with them.

I think I need to find a friend to take ds out for the day occasionally. A full day of study would be great when it gets towards eams. However much I leave ds to look after himself I still get dragged in to transform transformers or find lost toys or watch how he can jump like the giant tiger fire spider of death. And I occasionally have to stop working to feed him!
