Step-parenting

Sigh. You could tell it was Friday yesterday.

No replies needed just wanted to write it down really.

Friday = payday which = texts from sc demanding money (on top of csa) for shoes clothes and phone top ups. Oh and school trips.

He doesn't see or hear from them at all until 'demands time'

AIBU to feel sorry for him and pissed off at them?

Sad

My Dh gets a text saying "know what day it is tomorrow daddy?"

ShockShockShock

He gives pocket money now (direct debit) and just trots out "once it's gone it's gone" could your DH do that? Saves the begging.

I use to feel sick when the batting eyelashes and pouty lips came out on payday. Always reminded me of some kind of weird 50s housewife preening herself in the hope hubby would bung her some pin money. Bleughhhh no doubt learnt from mummy

Ours were like this until DP started paying them pocket money monthly by direct debit and telling them that was all they were getting!!
Your DP should do that!!!
Agree there is nothing more sickening than DSD fluttering eyelashes to get what she wants then going straight back into brat mode when she has got it!!

Ha I wasn't expecting replies

Just came in here because I was foaming at the mouth lol. I do say they don't ask for a lot in all fairness but it's the demanding when they do rather than asking.

They don't want contact of any kind. He doesn't get texts unless there's a problem such as SS refusing to get out of bed for school.
He paid towards a trip (80) that then got 'cancelled' no money returned, ss said there wasn't any trip, his mum said there was but she decided against him going, because of his behaviour.

I just feel .. Well .. If mine only spoke to me while holding their hand out for cash I'd tell them to fuck off! I must be a dragon lol
