Anyone play any wheelchair sports?
I've tried a few, and was told I was really good and compete just after 3 months playing. But my health deteriorated a lot and was back in hospital for months.
Then I got pregnant (in hospital a lot for that too with my health problems) so didn't want to risk playing plus I wasn't up to it.
I haven't gone back since but I want to get back into it.

Yes!
I am a keen wheelchair racer and I absolutely love it. I saw a race chair on ebay, bought it, and entered a fun run. It was brilliant, and I am hooked.
Wheelchair basketball is also great fun, I'm no good but I do like the team spirit and other people in wheelchairs actually challenge you and don't pity you and try to let you win.
There are so many sports out there, sadly a lot of the time you need to be in a big city to get a full team for anything, but with the olympics a bunch of stuff has sprung up in the unlikeliest of places.
There are also lots of wheelchair ways to access 'ordinary' sports. I am an archer and with a bit of teetering on something that looks like a barstool I can compete (and lose) against able bodied people.
I'd say get out there, it's a great way to meet people, and keep fit. Good luck.
