sport relief mile with the children - anyone else?

(8 Posts)

Just wondering if we are the only ones mad enough grin
It's only a mile, and the dses are quite fit already, so planning on doing a bit of training with them so they get the idea / psychology of it rather than a huge actual need for it.

It is swimming the mile this year isn't it?

We are running it in an event near us. Unless it's raining a lot I suppose grin

DH will be running it with 9y DD. They did it last time, although DD is much fitter and faster than DH wink

I have arthritis in my knee and impact sport is not an option - phew!

my 6 year old dd is running the mile and a 2.6 km race the week after.....she loves running, but always concerned about how far she runs. Very strict with warming up etc.
Sending hubby with her....i dont do running!
