Short term - ibuprofen
Long term - do it every day. You'll thank me.

Thank you! I will find some. I've run a half marathon before and cycled but my legs are weirdly painful

It might be that your bike is not set up right - is the seat the right height etc? Please be aware that your arse will be agony tomorrow and the next day!

Well done for cycling. Not sure why your legs hurt so much already. Seat wrong height?? Look up DOMS and look for ideas to help there. Gentle stretches, massage and ice might help.

Especially if you are quite fit I don't know why it would hurt so much. I'm not very fit but have just gone from zero to 60-100km a week with new job and been fine.

My arse is fineWink
I must be more unfit than I realised. Interesting about the set up though as my husband did try and put a trail gater on it for me.

Your arse is fine now. Get on the bike tomorrow morning and you'll feel like someone's been at it with a meat tenderiser...

One thing it has made me want to do is cycle more often.
I think I will start taking the bike on the dog walk!

I'd say your position is wrong on the bike if you hurt so much. I'd go to your local bike shop and get a proper bike fit if you're planning on using it regularly. It makes the world of difference!
