I took mine into the aquatics centre and intend to take the carrier into the stadium tomorrow. Not sure if you are query-ing if you need a ticket? I believe for 12month plus you do.

He has a ticket, and I had planned to leave the buggy in the buggy park, and take him in back pack carrier, but dh wasn't sure if this would be allowed (I had just assumed it would be).

The buggy parks are right at the bottom of the staircases up into the stands - if you take him into the stadium in the buggy, could he not walk or have a piggy back to your seats?

Bags in the stadium need to be small enough to go on your lap or fit under your seat - they say a rucsac of not more than 25litres capacity - so if your carrier is bigger than that you might have a problem? But then you could just leave it in the buggy park with your buggy.

He is disabled so not able to walk yet, and if tired gets very floppy and heavy, but is usually pretty happy in the carrier. I feel so stupid for assuming that a carrier would be ok. We have a soft baba sling, maybe dh and I could take it in turns to carry him in that.

We took our 2 yr old in a back carrier on Saturday but left it in the buggy park. If you explain the situation they may let you?

You may well be able to take him to his seat in the carrier, but one of you will need to come back and take it to a buggy park afterwards if it is a big framed one. There simply isn't space to put it in amongst the seats.

That said, it really isn't far from the buggy park to seat in most cases - there are multiple parks and they are inside they stadium (i.e. not just inside the park). I carried my three year old in the Manduca back to the tube station last week as she was knackered and no problem stuffing that under the seat when we were in the stadium.

Not stupid at all!!
I hope that either they will help you in the situation - the volunteers really are helpful - and that at the very least you could carry him up in the carrier and then pop the carrier back down to the buggy park. The route up to the seats isn't too bad at all. I would get into your seats on good time, though, and not leave it until the last minute - thye put stuff up on the screens and the atmosphere is great.

Have a wonderful day!

Thankyou

We have just got back.

We decided against the carrier, and in the end the amazing helpers provided ds with a wheelchair and when he wouldn't get in pushed me with ds sat on my lap and picked us up at the end of the session! I was very glad of this because it was a long way from the buggy park to our seats. They really couldn't have been more helpful.

As you can see if you look at my profile, ds promptly fell asleep on my lap when we got in the stadium!!

It was an amazing day, truly one of the best days of my life.

Glad they were so helpful. And what beautiful children you have. Total cuties.
