Have you squeezed a cyst?

DH has had a cyst on his back for the 8 years I have known him. He went to the GP about it years ago and was told to just leave it as it's not harmful. It just drives me mad though. I wouldn't be able to leave that if it was me. I'd love to squeeze it. It's right in the centre of his back, exactly over her spine. It's about 15mm across. He'll never let me squeeze it (I have to beg him to let me pick a whitehead on his face).

If I did, what are my chances of getting anything out?

I can dream of a massive pus explosion but it's not happening is it?

It's just wishful thinking on my part. I know you can't squeeze them really, particularly as I had one surgically removed. Mine was an obvious hard ball though but his seems softer. Anyway he wouldn't let me at it. I did squeeze a spot on his face this morning though so that will have to do Wink

I got ti squeeze a cyst on OH head once. It was grand. A fair amount of pus then a little yellow bag thingy which I understand was the sac. It was good, particularly as OH never let's me squeeze anything.

OH had one for quite a long time and despite having a go at it and sticking in a lancet it never budged.

Then one day I noticed a hair follicle looked a bit brown so gave it a squeeze and cheesy stuff came out...It would of been better had it been cut open but I had to settle for it coming out the tiny hole. It did then go very red and was easier to squeeze (though the bugger did a load in the shower)

It did give up a lot of puss and cheesy stuff and looks like it is filling up again but...I think if they are not ready you cant really force it.

OH promised me at Christma sI could have a another go but its still not ready

My dad had one on his back and was told to get family members to routinely squeeze it until it stopped re-growing. My sister did it once but she made the fatal error of having her mouth open... Shock

Oh, I was standing behind a woman in a shop yesterday, and she had an obvious cyst just peeking above the neckline of her blouse. It was about 1.5 cm across and looked like it had a pointy, squeezy bit at the top.
I was transfixed and had to control myself! GrinGrinGrin

Wait, you can diy these?? I've got a sebaceous cyst that was 'removed' by an incompetent 'pro' at the hospital but he botched it and it has grown again. If i could have a go at it myself i'd almost forgive his incompetence :D

This question was prompted by me seeing a man with a big cyst on his face the other day. It was as much as I could do to not ask him if I could squeeze it. It was all red and angry and ripe. I could just imagine the joy of that explosion. We were in the swimming pool at the time.
