Help I've got an inflamed sebaceous cyst on my breast

It's red and sore and hard in the centre. What can I do to bring it down?

The last time it flared up was about 3 years ago and I went to my gp and I had to get it checked out by the breast clinic and was on two courses of antibiotics which really messed about with my stomach and I got thrush and athletes foot too. When It finally burst a white curd like stuff came out. It's left me with a scar and a white hard lump and this is where the inflammation is.

What should I do? How should I treat it? I don't want antibiotics if I can manage without them. I've been putting antiseptic ointment on it for a few days

Magnesium sulphate paste?

Are you breastfeeding? If not you can try applying magnesium sulphate paste which will draw the pus up to the centre and it will explode. Unfortunately there will be no superhero type KAPOW noise when it does but it will probably really fuck up your bra. HTH

I think this is a job for Sandra Lee (our hero) Wonder if she would fly you to LA for the filming?
It does sound like it needs removing, unless the sac goes it will just keep coming back. Oh wait...

No sorry Nell. But I think if you have Epsom salts you can mix to a paste and plaster the fucker in it. I'd recommend hot as you can flannels to relieve the pain. Also having the lights and camera just so will help no end.

You know what Sandra would say? You've got to get the whole wall out or it will just keep coming back.

please push for this to be removed at a hospital. I was fobbed off with anti biotics for 6 years. Sometimes taking them for 2-3 months at a time to keep the infection at bay. Kept being told it was cosmetic and couldn't be referred for removal. Got so bad this winter I did have it surgically removed. It was a huge mess and the doctor was socked how much damage had been done by lancing, anti-biotics and infection over the years. I have ended up with a huge chunk out of the top of my arm. It looks like I have been bitten by a shark!!
Sorry to be dramatic but the sun has been shining today and it makes me angry that I have to feel embarrassed by the state of my arm!!
Please get to the docs asap

Oh I had one of these, I went to a&e and they removed it and scooped out all the goop. I then had to have the hole packed and go back every week to have it replaced (if you leave it to heal on its own the hole fills with puss again!!) go and see a dr and have it done now before it gets any bigger. My scar is quite small so that's good. Good luck!!!! And picks of removal/squeezing etc please lol. X

Yes I think I need it dug out as its been there for god knows how many years and has flared up several times, bursts, then it fills up and starts all over again. Can this be done on the breast tho'. I've had it checked out whenever I've had a mammogram and they always say it's a benign cyst, so I'm not worried about it being anything sinister
