KatieBMumsnet (MNHQ) Wed 30-Jan-13 13:14:06

You may have seen another thread around the site asking for testers to try the new Cadbury Spoon n Egg kids Easter treat, well have we got an EGG-tra special treat for you! grin We're also looking for 7 lucky Mumsnetters plus up to 2 DCs to attend an exclusive trip to Cadbury World.

The event will take place throughout the day on Saturday 16th February at Cadbury World, Birmingham. Cadbury will cover travel expenses (up to a total of £100 per family) to and from the day.

The day will include a range of exciting activities including a full tour of the Cadbury World factory, a private party room with Joyville hosts, egg n spoon races and Easter Egg hunts. After the event you'll be asked to share your feedback from the day on a thread on Mumsnet.

We'd also like those of you who are selected to attend to make video diaries of your day which will then be edited and feature on Cadbury's pages on Mumsnet, YouTube and possibly elsewhere. Please only apply if you're happy to take video footage of the day (you'll need to have a smart phone to do this).

Everyone who attends the day will be given an EGG-clusive goodie bag to take home to hide from share with the rest of the family.
Also, everyone who sends in their video of the day and adds their feedback to the thread will receive a £20 John Lewis voucher as a thank you!

So if you have at least one child aged 5-11 years, and are free to attend Cadbury World on Saturday 16th February, please sign up here

Attendance is by invitation only - we'll be in touch with further details if you are selected.

Thanks and good luck!

Katie @ MNHQ

LiveItUp Wed 30-Jan-13 16:56:34

Blimey - not a lot of response on here confused. A full-on chocolatey day out! Annoyingly, I'm working and DH won't even take the DC's to a party so there's no way he'd do this. Shame though. Enjoy enjoy enjoy those of you who get this and eat a chocolatey egg for me and my DC's wink

ChristmasJubilee Wed 30-Jan-13 21:19:20

Too far away for me! Just send me some goody bags! Yum, yum, yum.

IwishIwasmoreorganised Thu 31-Jan-13 20:19:14

Would love to apply but we don't own any smart phones!!

Spirael Fri 01-Feb-13 16:43:41

Not busy that day, have got various methods of capturing video, could easily get to Cadbury's world... But DD is only 2.5. sad

Bit of a shame, as she'd love it!

Foggles Fri 01-Feb-13 16:52:17

Damn! My DC are 18 & 20 - can we still apply?

EstoyAqui Fri 01-Feb-13 16:52:36

Done. DH has been working abroad and would be back in time for this. It would be great to do this together.

FloatyBeatie Fri 01-Feb-13 16:56:19

Safety notes for the day:

Don't drink from the chocolate river
Lay off the experimental gum
Don't annoy the squirrels or the Oompa-Lumpas
Keep a large distance from any line of confectionery that has the capacity to exemplify your chief moral failing

mustgetabackbone Fri 01-Feb-13 17:01:42

omg -I- the kids would love this!!!!

OscarPistoriusBitontheside Fri 01-Feb-13 17:15:33

Applied! Ds are 7 and 2! They'd bloody love it! Please chose us! Oh please, please, please. With a cherry and sprinkles on top. grin

peeriebear Fri 01-Feb-13 17:17:03

I've applied smile I'd love to go!

ShatnersBassoon Fri 01-Feb-13 17:21:08

Just wondering, is it for one adult and up to two children? No partners, in other words?

Glitterfairys Fri 01-Feb-13 17:27:35

This looks great .My two boys would love this ( and me !! ) grin

LegoAcupuncture Fri 01-Feb-13 17:31:38

Wow! This would be fab!

whattodoo Fri 01-Feb-13 18:02:50

Gah! My DD still isn't 5yo. Can't you do a choc promo after 8 march?

We'd be first in the queue and would make very good tester/experimentees.

Whydobabiescry Fri 01-Feb-13 18:11:34

DS (8) is desperate to go so fingers crossed....

Glittertwins Fri 01-Feb-13 18:22:44

My two will be 5 on March 1st...they would love this. They would sell us for chocolate ;)

shine0ncrazydiamond Fri 01-Feb-13 19:30:38

Done and crossed fingers : )

Doogle2 Fri 01-Feb-13 19:38:32

This is very egg-citing (get it?). grin

ProPerformer Fri 01-Feb-13 19:42:26

Once again those of us with 4 year olds miss out! DS can pass for 5 or 6 though....

HugAndRoll Fri 01-Feb-13 20:23:58

sad ds1 is 5 in April. He loves chocolate (don't they all) as would I. Oh well <huffs off>.

Ds is 5 in June, I don't get why 4 year olds can't do this if younger siblings of 5 year olds can go confused

SirBoobAlot Fri 01-Feb-13 20:57:30

DS is three. <sulks>

<contemplates borrowing another child>

IwishIwasmoreorganised Fri 01-Feb-13 21:02:42

Your 3 and 4 year olds will be 5 year olds before too long!

Don't wish the days away!

5madthings Fri 01-Feb-13 21:07:30

I applied two of mine are the right ages, ds4 is 5 in March but I put a query in with my application to see if he could go as I think he will enjoy it more than my ten yr old would.

RubyMurry Fri 01-Feb-13 21:26:06

Have entered as we would love to go, ds 11 would make a fantastic taster as he is a chocoholic just like his mum wink

ClaraOswinOswald Fri 01-Feb-13 21:47:11

I've entered. I'm willing to sacrifice the diet and eat chocolate for the greater good.

hallamoo Fri 01-Feb-13 22:22:06

Only up to 2DC, what about my other 2? hmm

5madthings Fri 01-Feb-13 22:28:58

I know hallamou I have five so will only be able to take two, thankfully dd is too young to care and ds1 is old enough not to mind too much but I will have to choose who out of no 2, 3 and 4 to take which will cause functions!

If you can only take 2 dc, does that include under 5s? My eldest is 5 and I'm not going to sign up unless I am allowed to take the other 2 since it would be unfair. Middle child is 4, youngest is 11 weeks so would be 13 weeks at the time and clearly not going to cause any trouble (she would be in a sling) but has to be with me, so shouldn't count as a person if that makes any sense. Does everyone in the party have to be over 5 and could I take a babe in arms as well as two children who would actually know what was happening?

ooooh pleeeease pick us <begs and whines> ive never been.

FeijoaVodkaAndCheezels Sat 02-Feb-13 00:21:01

DS is to young by less than 3 weeks. Just today he asked if we can go to Birmingham for a holiday (easily pleased boy).

Boo [pout]

Cherryjellow Sat 02-Feb-13 07:12:48

I just applied half asleep then realised mines too young sad
plonks herself across the head
I might make a trip still, I love that place

Oodsigma Sat 02-Feb-13 07:22:14

I would love this but couldn't get round as the only adult (SPD/crutches/wheelchair) plus its probably too close to dc4 coming!

GreatGooglyMoogly Sat 02-Feb-13 08:40:32

Shame, we are free and DC are in the right age group but we don't have smartphones sad (also, would want DH to come).

We were thinking of going that day but to be honest I'm not prepared to have videos of us made public so will have to pass.

I'd love to go but I couldn't chose between my 4 dc's as to who would miss out.

BacardiNCoke Sat 02-Feb-13 10:06:17

Have filled it in. This is like a dream come true for dd2 she's chocolate obsessed! Is it only for 1 parent though? Because if DH can come with me we'll be able to drive down which would be much easier. If not will have to be by train.

RollerCola Sat 02-Feb-13 10:44:51

Oh done! This would be so great if we won. Fingers crossed!

But I have 3 children sad

I was planning to go at half term...shall I stalk the MNetters on the 16th..

Goober Sat 02-Feb-13 13:42:06
