We've been asked by Plum Baby, the Organic baby food brand, to find one Mumsnetter with a baby aged approximately 6-12 months to go along to a special two day filming session at the Plum Cookery school in Buckinghamshire on 26 and 27 June.

Plum says: "At Plum, we understand that there are enough sleepless nights when it comes to little ones, without having weaning to worry about too. So, we are opening the doors to the Plum Cookery School to reveal some of the tasty secrets behind Plum?s recipes and support parents through the weaning process. You and your baby are invited to be a part of this unique experience where you can meet our celebrity chefs".

Plum is looking for one Mumsnetter to attend the Cookery School for two days. They will learn all about the weaning journey, take cookery lessons with their little one and have the chance to talk to Plum experts. They'll also be the stars of Plum's all new weaning videos, a guide to help parents across the country with their weaning worries.

As well as being a part of the Plum Cookery School, the selected MNer will also receive travel and overnight accommodation, a video camera to film how their weaning journey continues at home and £500 for their baby.

The Cookery School sessions will be filmed and edited into 'episodes' which will then be shown on YouTube and elsewhere (including on Mumsnet). A total of five mums and babies will be attending and we are looking for one MNer to join the group. Food and drink will be provided during the sessions.

Plum says: "Celebrity chef, Rachel Allen is working with Plum as part of the Cookery School. She'll be on hand to give her recipe suggestions, answer any cooking-related questions and tell her own anecdotes about weaning her children. Together with Rachel, gathered foodies will even work together to help to create the next range of Plum recipes.
"Hosting the Plum Cookery School will be children's food expert, Beverley Glock. Beverley is the author of successful book 500 Baby and Toddler Foods and has 11 years'experience of cooking with mums and babies"

How to get involved
If you think your LO has the makings of a Masterchef winner and you are available for filming in Buckinghamshire on 26 and 27 June then please add your details here

Once we have the volunteers MN will send the list (excluding MN name) over to the team at Plum Baby who will compile a shortlist and be in touch with them directly. The entries will be judges by a panel of experts at Plum. Winners must be available on June 26 and 27 to attend the Plum Cookery School in Buckinghamshire. Entries close at 5:30pm on Monday 28th May. For full terms and conditions, please look here

There will then be a final Skype interview with the shortlist with the company who will be filming the content.

Thanks and good luck

I've now passed on the details to Plum and they will shortlist folks - they have a procedure to follow as they are also recruiting from other channels. So they will be in touch with those shortlisted directly. Best of luck!

Hi Ann, when do we find out who the lucky winner is?

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Sun 27-May-12 23:24:43

yes chocolate - thanks!

chocolatehobnobs Sun 27-May-12 23:07:03

Ann - did my form come through?

chocolatehobnobs Sun 27-May-12 20:49:40

What fun, my DS 6 months would love to stuff himself with yummy food

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Sun 27-May-12 18:42:50

lagoonhaze - yes thanks we have your form

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Sun 27-May-12 18:42:20

lazymonkey - it did mean about the baby you'd go with! thanks

lazymonkeyface Sat 26-May-12 21:48:09

I think I added the wrong information. When it asked about who was coming, i thought they meant details of the baby... whoops!

If this isn't the case, can you ammend it to my mom, birthdate 8/9/66 and no allergies?

TIA

Can you check if I actually applied please- think it crashed.

BMJ article here on BLW. Thanks peggyblackett - interesting read.

Funny cause such a small sample would normally get many mnetters dismissing tge results.

Woofsaidtheladybird Tue 22-May-12 23:26:30

Thanks! Will apply tomorrow!

ghosteditor Tue 22-May-12 23:20:41

Thanks.

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Tue 22-May-12 23:10:33

I think baby would need to be 6 months by 26 June. thanks!

Woofsaidtheladybird Tue 22-May-12 23:08:35

I'd love to enter too - again, are the age limits very tough? DS is now 5 months but will be 6 months by 26 / 27 June? Pleeeeaase? smile

ghosteditor Tue 22-May-12 21:17:24

Sounds like fun! My baby will be 5.5 months at the time - how strict is the 'approximately 6-12 months' target? I think we will start weaning around that time, though we're focusing on BLW too.

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Tue 22-May-12 13:54:54

babloogirl - I have amended your form for you - thanks.

babloogirl Sun 20-May-12 10:19:00

I have applied but I think I forgot to put my mn name blush

I didn't state who my plus one would be (it is my 14yo sister who is arriving from France on 26th night time to spend 3 weeks with us so not a toddler running around)

FourYolksAche Sun 20-May-12 10:02:02

BMJ article here on BLW. Thanks peggyblackett - interesting read.

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Sun 20-May-12 09:30:49

babloogirl - do apply and state that and they can take that into account.

thanks to everyone who has applied so far....

peggyblackett Sun 20-May-12 09:26:10

What a shame, dd2 will only be 5 months otherwise I'd enter.

For those of you who are concerned about purees you should read the BMJ article from 18 months ago - I'll see if I can find it.

I'd love to do it too but am also doing BLW. Sounds fun for whoever gets picked though.

ceeveebee Sat 19-May-12 20:01:20

I've applied, hope I am eligible as I have twins, just started weaning last week so great timing, am doing mixture of mush and BLW and no I do not force feed my babies!
