The world record for most people skinny dipping used to be held by a group that did it in one of my favourite Welsh beaches in Rhossili; I think it's time we bring that baby back home again! So that is my favourite record.

On behalf of my husband I would like my son to get Most Career Goals (football)... sorry Pelé but it is time to make way for another generation.

Bubbles85 Mon 21-Oct-13 11:41:50

I can't pick a favourite, but I would definitely say one that take a lot of skill. It seems that the book has got so huge over the past few years that you could get into it for doing some really silly things these days.

iwanttoscream Mon 21-Oct-13 14:17:35

When i was a child, many many years ago. My favourite bit was about how many children people had given birth to, and how much the heaviest baby weighed. So glad mine didn't weigh that much.

Elainey1609 Mon 21-Oct-13 16:03:28

Mine always used to do with how much someone eaten of a specific food or anything to do with babies eg largest number of multiple births or heaviest ...longest time between birth of twins ect.

However the one that should be in it (it may actually already be there) is the number of whole pringles someone can fit in their mouth without them breaking lol

elizaco Mon 21-Oct-13 16:49:46

My favourite entry when I was little was the longest finger nails - I loved looking at the photo - yuck!

gazzalw Mon 21-Oct-13 17:31:28

My favourite record is the number of times someone managed to split a single hair - it is my favourite one because DW is obsessed with split ends and somehow this record always reminds me of her!

Theimpossiblegirl Mon 21-Oct-13 17:50:23

I also used to love the fingernail records (especially being a biter myself).

I would like to go for the record of either most hours spent on Mumsnet or most candies crushed in a set time.
smile

I remember the lady who gave birth to 67 children!!! 67!!! Wow, just wow! I wouldn't go so far as to wish that I was winning that one though! grin

TEErickOrTEEreat Mon 21-Oct-13 18:20:08

I used to stare fascinated at the woman with the skinniest waist.

I think our record would have to be most owned train track by a boy under the age of 5. grin

HootyMcOwlface Mon 21-Oct-13 21:24:49

Someone's got there before me! My favourite was always the longest fingernails. I remember the picture of someone stood on a balcony with the MASSIVE fingernails dangling down! Not the record for me though, I keep mine short...
Maybe I could do a food eating one? I quite like watching Man vs Food and think I could take on some of the eating challenges.

GetKnitted Mon 21-Oct-13 21:57:32

Favourites have to be something aspirational but mental like furthest distance walked in high heels on a tight rope, you know something you could see kids practicing in their bedrooms after reading it!

As we are,, I'm sure we could beat some kind of decibel record smile

Hopezibah Mon 21-Oct-13 22:39:40

My favourite has to be the number of coffee beans put into a coffee cup using chopsticks! The reason why - I got to attempt this at Butlins a couple of years ago (although I didn't get close to beating the record - I did really well compared to everyone else!). We also tried things like building lego towers and domino towers and I think the fun of it is that they really seem acheiveable to beat the record but when you actually try it you realise it is not as easy as it looks / sounds.

My kids would attempt the record for loudest fart I reckon!

mawbroon Mon 21-Oct-13 22:46:32

DS1 seems to be fascinated with the tallest man story, I have no idea why. He is average height for his age, so not like he has much in common with him.

DS1 would probably win the most facts recalled about sea creatures or similar.

And we have seen the lady with the record number of facial piercings around the town here.

RustyBear Mon 21-Oct-13 22:59:44

The yoyo. But that's because DH was in it for the world Yoyo endurance record when he was 14. He did it in Chadd's department store in Hereford, 20 May 1970 - 8 hours, 7 minutes 13 seconds.

It's gone way past that now because now they are allowed to cheat take breaks... grin

morethanpotatoprints Mon 21-Oct-13 23:02:52

The most tap dancers, not sure if it has been beaten in later years but Roy Castle was great during that one.

Have to say the longest hockey game 25 hours I think it was, my son played in it. grin

BruthasTortoise Mon 21-Oct-13 23:04:53

Records for piercings and tattoos are a big hit in my house smile

My DC would love to break some of the "Lego" records. Unfortunately I have put my foot down and said no more of the blasting stuff is coming into the house. May reconsider if I win a £200 voucher though...smile

buttermellow Tue 22-Oct-13 05:49:42

If she's still in there, Bambi, the oldest deer in the world, of Kiltarlity, Invernesshire. She was my great aunt's and is still spoken of very fondly, her grave is still visited by us :D Mum remembers feeding her polos and doughnuts!!

ladygoingGaga Tue 22-Oct-13 07:01:30

Has to be the most amount of underpants worn at once 231 all at once grin my son loves this fact, keeps asking me how? I can't answer that!

I reckon my ds is very close to the world record for riding a bike without stabilisers. He was 22 months. grin

lolancurly Tue 22-Oct-13 07:26:46

I love all the really silly records and am fascinated by the Longest Finger Nails/Longest Hair/Most tattooed lady, kind of records. I would like my daughters to win the 'Tidying their bedroom with the least amount of complaining in the quickest time' record!

Doubtfuldaphne Tue 22-Oct-13 07:57:45

The most people to fit in to a mini makes me laugh seeing them all squashed in and smiling way for the camera!
My son would want to be in there for 'most hotdogs eaten in one minute' and I'd like to be in there for most cities visited by one person in the shortest amount of time. If that exists?

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Tue 22-Oct-13 08:22:25

mawbroon - mine too!

riskit4abiskit Tue 22-Oct-13 09:10:06

The one that I always think of is the handbrake turn to park between two cars. I am a safe driver but a rubbish parker so the guy that does this has superpowers to me!

aristocat Tue 22-Oct-13 12:10:52

My favourite records are the odd ones like sitting in a bath full of baked beans for hours or the food eating ones ..... crazy!

My DS is also fascinated by the tallest man in the world. However if he could be an entry it would have to be the fastest goal scored smile because he is football mad.

Patilla Tue 22-Oct-13 12:59:09

Don't have this book but it would be right up DS street I reckon yet more opportunities to correct me on facts I don't know!

I think would most likely be able to achieve some kind of record for length of time talking without pausing.

DS himself would probably prefer to aim for a marathon tv viewing record!

clubnail Tue 22-Oct-13 13:39:36

Another one for the fingernails. Fascinating, and I always wondered why someone would do that to themselves, it is so impractical. And looks dirty.

I would like to be in it for winner of the biggest lottery jackpot. Though I WOULDN'T like to be in it for that as I'd prefer to be anonymous if I did win such an amount.

ShatnersEmptyCatacomb Tue 22-Oct-13 14:35:21

I loved the woman with the long, dirty, curly-wurly nails too - morbid curiosity played a large part in my childhood interests confused

I think my kids would be looking at a competitive eating sort of record. The most Haribos eaten within a minute.

enderwoman Tue 22-Oct-13 14:54:36

I love the Gamer's edition of the Guiness Book of Records. The guy with the Mario collection was fascinating. I'd love to see more people like that.

My son could be in the GBR for playing computer games while bouncing up and down. He can easily go 2 hours without stopping.

records for the most piercings, i love looking at the pictures smile ironically i have no piercings or tattoos myself.

my ds would hold the record for sounding the most like a seal smile he has taken to making a bizarre silly noise that sounds just like one

mawbroon Tue 22-Oct-13 15:08:19

I enjoy the Guiness book of records, but sometimes I do look at what people have done and wonder what on earth would possess somebody to do that!!!

QueFonda Tue 22-Oct-13 15:43:35

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

choccyp1g Tue 22-Oct-13 15:46:12

Unless someone has already beaten it, my favourite will be "the most number of people doing star-jumps for 2 minutes"...because DS and I were in the crowd, and have the certificates to prove it. But our record just missed the print deadline for last year, so has probably been overtaken without ever appearing.

Normally I like ones that are about real things, like tallest man, oldest woman, most number of puppies in a litter rather than silly stuff like eating competitions.

What I would love to be in for would be any giant vegetable. Largest pumpkin, longest parsnip etc.

CMOTDibbler Tue 22-Oct-13 16:20:44

I used to love the GBWR. My ds would get a record for 'most continuous questions'

stephgr Tue 22-Oct-13 16:36:44

I used to love the longest nails ones because the people looked really freaky and I used to wonder how on earth they could actually do normal day to day things. My record would have to be staying awake for the longest time with no sleep whatsoever although I think there would be lots of contenders.

DoctorTwo Tue 22-Oct-13 18:59:24

My favourite world record is the longest scarf knitted whilst running a marathon. 12ft 1 3/4in apparently.

I'd quite like to play chess against many grandmasters simultaneously despite being a rubbish chess player. I'd just use Derren Browns cheat. grin

CorrieDale Tue 22-Oct-13 19:04:07

Largest taekwondo demonstration in the world - because DS and I were in it a couple of Sundays ago! Hopefully it won't be overtaken until after the next book!

I was surprised by how much effort and work is required to organise such things. In my naïveté I agreed to be on the committee, not realising it would be a bigger time suck than mumsnet even!

BlackberrySeason Tue 22-Oct-13 19:12:53

As a teen I used to think the number of people in the mini was very funny!! grin

Fumnudge Tue 22-Oct-13 19:19:17

My fave was the worlds longest jiving bacause my mother was one of the dancers! Sadly the record has been broken now but it was great to have that connection.

I like the really random ones like 'how many baked beans car you fit up your nose' (May or May not be a record)

I would like to have a world record in something, anything will do smile

(I had this book when I was little and decided that I would try and hold the world record for the largest amount of bogies - I kept them in my desk drawer alongside my stickers.)

telsa Tue 22-Oct-13 20:25:15

Another one for the fingernails. I was so fascinated by these, especially as my life long I have never been able to grow mine.

I would love one of my children to hold the record for the most Oscars one day!

rusmum Tue 22-Oct-13 20:28:08

The human extremes used to fascinate me.tallest/ shortest, longest hair/ nails etc.

MadMonkeys Tue 22-Oct-13 20:39:18

I think I could probably hold the record for the person who has microwaved the same cup of tea the most times after discovering it had gone cold...again...

skyeskyeskye Tue 22-Oct-13 21:01:03

Another one for fingernails. As a child I used to bite mine do was always fascinated by the longest nails.

Now, I think that DD should go in there for the Worlds Messiest Bedroom! Or... Largest number of maltesers a 5yo can fit in their mouth..

BadlyWrittenPoem Tue 22-Oct-13 21:05:12

I used to always be impressed by the world's longest finger nails. Not sure what would be my favourite now - probably one of the memory feats as they take great skill. I think DD1 would probably like to have a record for tree climbing or similar.

Spirael Tue 22-Oct-13 21:12:44

I remember being fascinated by the world's tallest man when I was a child.

DD would probably want to hold the record for most cat cuddles given by a 3 YO. Personally I think most times insisting to watch Sound of Music back to back might be more appropriate...

LonelyGoatherd Tue 22-Oct-13 21:14:31

How high people can jump used to amaze me.
And our family one would be who can survive on the least amount of sleep!

sharond101 Tue 22-Oct-13 22:19:26

We like the size ones like the smallest and tallest man, longest hair and nails. DS will be in running for the longest hair and nails given we need to pin him down to cut either of them.

ChippyMinton Tue 22-Oct-13 22:56:05

DS2's favourite is the largest gathering of most people dressed as Peter Pan, which he took part in.
And I was going to say the largest game of musical bumps but the DCs' record has been taken by another school. They did get to meet the world's tallest man though smile

CheeryCherry Tue 22-Oct-13 22:57:15

I always liked tallest/ shortest/oldest people, plus longest hair/nails. There was a woman with really madly long curly nails.. I couldn't imagine how she did anything for herself!
As a family we love the sporting ones...fastest goal, furthest throw-in, longest jump etc.
I'm already in the book for being in the 'biggest signing choir' all singing simultaneously, I think there were 20,000 of us!
Ds would love to hold a famous footballing record of any kind!

ChippyMinton Tue 22-Oct-13 22:57:40

Meant to add, I'd quite like to go for a record for speediest consumption of a packet of jaffa cakes blush.

Eastpoint Tue 22-Oct-13 23:41:25

I'm in it too, I was part of the world's largest underwater dinner party. I wore a long purple dress.

Favourite record is GISHWES doing the largest Scavenger hunt - bit of a personal one as I know some of the people involved and it raised a lot of money for a very good cause. Always gives me a nice warm glow when I think about it smile

beeelaine Wed 23-Oct-13 11:37:07

my favourite ones are the ones that take a lot of skill and training to achieve like the most squats in an hour (im lucky if i can manage 20 without running out of puff)! If there was a world record our son would hold it would either be a) The greatest number of different excuses for getting out of homework or b) the most Mikado sticks eaten in 2 minutes!

sealight123 Wed 23-Oct-13 17:11:07

My favourite record is the most tattooed female senior citizen as the lady is just wonderful, even if some of her tattoos are rather risky :P I do love art though and can admire someone that can handle that much pain (excluding child birth ofcourse ladies :P)

The world record my 2 year old daughter could hold is the most consecutive times a child can repeat the word 'mum' and not actually want to tell me anything :S (when I answer her she just says...'nothing mammy') :P

Toxteth0Grady Wed 23-Oct-13 17:44:56

World's stickiest bogey smile

DoctorTwo Wed 23-Oct-13 18:17:58

Not most marshmallows fitted up one nostril? Or was it up the nose?.. <gimmer>

flamingtoaster Wed 23-Oct-13 18:58:26

I was part of a successful attempt on Most People Playing Hopscotch Simultaneously - which has since been broken. It was great fun and I'd love to do it again.

WhirlyByrd Wed 23-Oct-13 19:33:21

The one about Ribert Pershing Wadlow. I can still remember Roy Castle singing a song about him: "eight-foot 11.1 and thirty-five stone!"

<old>

RedBushedT Thu 24-Oct-13 00:28:35

I'm another one who was fascinated by the longest fingernail pictures!
I would want the World Record for the most freckles on a person's nose grin

Preciousbane Thu 24-Oct-13 01:23:30

Mine was for the oldest triplets age achieved ever recorded. It was three women called Faith, Hope and Charity. I will need to check it hasn't changed as been a while.

twinkletoedelephant Thu 24-Oct-13 12:41:49

Dd is 7 and wants to do the most cartwheels in a row ever

It would appear her twin 4 year olds are going for the most pepples stones. And sticks to be held within school trouser pockets without the stitching unravelling

I am always impressed at the people who break boards with their heads

ZombieZing Fri 25-Oct-13 00:51:47

I'd like to be famous for "longest time spent not shouting at my children as compared to normality in our every day lives"

for DCs "longest time spent not arguing/whinging/winding each other up as opposed to their usual behaviour"

nerysw Fri 25-Oct-13 09:48:48

Longest fingernails, freaky talons which are fascinating were my favourite. My son's record would be 'most times a child demanded to watch Dora in a day'.

Lightshines Fri 25-Oct-13 12:59:36

I love the most tattoo-ed people - grotesque but strangely fascinating.

We could set the record for the most wet towels in a teenagers bedroom grin

NotAFeminist Fri 25-Oct-13 16:43:44

My brothers used to get the Guiness World Records book every year for Christmas and I used to love looking through them, too. My favourites were the eye popping out ones! Or the longest fingernails or beards, or something because it was kinda gross but super cool at the same time! :P

My little 1 year old would definitely win the 'Best Impression of a Dinosaur' world record! He's been doing it since he was about 6 months old and it is adorable! :D

NotAFeminist Fri 25-Oct-13 16:45:12

Ooh Lightshines, i loved the most tattooed ones, too! And the most piercings!!

For me it was always the biggest babies and tallest people records that I liked looking at. I'm now pregnant and my husband is 6ft5 so now I'm less fascinated and more terrified by those records.

Kipsy Fri 25-Oct-13 18:44:35

It was the record for the longest moustache! Shudder.
When I was 6/7 I watched it on TV (I think David Frost used to present the show). I was riveted by how well the man had groomed and plaited his moustaches. I remember asking my mum for plaits that looked identical. Ugh!

That is one I hope neither my DD nor I NEVER win!

Kipsy Fri 25-Oct-13 18:45:45

*EVER win. Sigh

OanaChi Fri 25-Oct-13 20:06:01

Mine would be food-related, like sitting so many hundreds for a meal at the same time :-). If we were to be in the Guinness book it would be for travelling around the world with small children, our dream.

michelleblane Fri 25-Oct-13 20:15:49

I loved The Guinness Book of Records when I was little, and still do! I think my favourite records are the people ones like tallest man/woman, oldest man/woman.
As a child, I liked the silly ones like most pieces of metal swallowed by someone, or longest line of paperclips.
As a Northerner, I always noticed that the bizarre and 'idiotic' records seemed to be held by Northerners, and the amazing, clever ones are held by Southerners....oh well.
What records could my family hold? Son....Owner of the most odd socks.
Husband.....Something to do with open water swimming. He is always first in his age group (65-70) and would love to swim an international event.
Me ...I could fancy something to do with eating chocolate.........

Fuzzysnout Fri 25-Oct-13 20:25:13

I would like to hold the record for being the world's most venomous animal - how cool to know you were the most dangerous creature!

Failing that I love the people squashing into a mini. I'd have to be near the top though!

peronel Fri 25-Oct-13 21:47:51

Everything in moderation, so no records broken in our house - how boring is that!!!

mum2eci Fri 25-Oct-13 22:35:12

One of my little ones always receives a Guinness World Record book from Santa! They are always fascinated by the most tattoos / piercing ones. When my DD had a birthday sleepover with friends they attempted a new world record for eating the most Jaffa cakes in 1 minute :-)

millyrainbow Fri 25-Oct-13 23:56:30

I was always fascinated by the heaviest twins, pictured riding motorbikes.
I recently introduced dd (6) to the Guinness record website. She has decided to go for the longest hair record! It is long (to her knees) but I think she had quite a way to go yet!

Meanderer Sat 26-Oct-13 00:03:48

our record - most number of times saying 'put your shoes on' in a morning

LentilAsAnyFUCKERthing Sat 26-Oct-13 00:35:55

I'd like to be in it for most countries visited, meaning I'd get to visit every country in the world. I guess this has already been done, so I'd do it with my child and he can be the youngest to have visited every country in the world.

kateandme Sat 26-Oct-13 02:31:08

mine wasa the most piercings.when little this facinated me.

our record would be how many peas the can flick into eachothers mouths a THE TABLE!!

AndHarry Sat 26-Oct-13 09:37:48

My favourites are the classics: the tallest person, the highest number of skips in a minute, the most tattooed lady grin etc.

If I could be in it, I would want to have the fastest 5000m run. I've just run my first 5K grin My 3yo DS would want to be the strongest boy in the world. My 11mo DD would want to be the blueberry eating champion.

Babycarmen Sat 26-Oct-13 11:29:32

Right now I would be more then happy to attempt the world record for the longest sleep please!! brew

NotInGuatemalaNowDrRopata Sat 26-Oct-13 11:50:35

The fingernails, definitely the fingernails. That image will never leave me (shudder).

My record would be most episodes of Peppa Pig watched by one individual. It would be a hardly fought battle between me and my sons.

Scitteryscattery Sat 26-Oct-13 13:00:03

As a child it was the oldest person in the world as we had gone to a family friends 100th birthday party. I was amazed to think of what the oldest person might have remembered and what would have changed in the world if I got to that age.
My DD would like the record for most raisins eaten in one mouthful.

glastohead Sat 26-Oct-13 14:24:12

My favourite record is that of Mr Mangetout who has the shortest time for eating an entire Cessna airplane.

My DS's favourite record to beat would be the fastest time to eat 3 jam donuts - current time is about 30 seconds but you are not allowed to lick your lips!

My DS and I are actually record holders - we were part of the Irn Bru Can Clan event that broke the record for the most people doing the Can Can! He loves telling other kids he is a record holder.

startupDad Sat 26-Oct-13 14:33:38

My DS would have the record for quickest time from sleeping to 120dB screaming when he's hungry

Orange01 Sat 26-Oct-13 14:36:21

I bought my son last years Guinness book of records for Christmas he loves it we always read it at bedtime. My DS loves gory information they have a picture of the worlds biggest blood blister on someone's face ......it really is gross !!!shock

greatest distance travelled with pool cue on chin is very handy after you have been to the pub

I would like to set the record for the longest wee

I wait ages cos i can't be bothered then i do a niagra falls esq wee - however i have highly excellent pelvic floor - so i reckon, i could so do this reckord

mawbroon Sat 26-Oct-13 14:46:50

I'll challenge you to the biggest wee Custy.

After holding on for hours and hours and hours in A&e one time, I had to ask for another of the paper hat potty things because the first one was full and I hadn't finished yet! shock

it's on!

challenge accepted

mawbroon Sat 26-Oct-13 15:21:18

grin

<starts glugging litres of water>

threepiecesuite Sat 26-Oct-13 17:10:13

For some reason, I was fascinated by the woman with the world's longest neck - she had all metal rings around it and was Chinese I think. I pored over my 1991 Guinness Book for hours each day, so it's nice to see the kids where I teach doing the same in the school library.

I would win the record for the fastest time getting ready in the morning. We're all up and out in 15 minutes flat usually, it's a well-oiled machine!

DwellsUndertheFucker Sat 26-Oct-13 17:23:31

my DD has a Guinness world record - she organised the biggest Curly Wurley stretching event at her school, with over 400 kids taking part for Red Nose Day one year.

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Sat 26-Oct-13 17:37:31

very envy of those IN the book: very cool!

I went to the place in London as a kid where it's all displayed can't think what to call it and was fascinated by the most tattooed lady and the knife swallower. Proper circus stuff.

If we held a record as a family it would be the most animated eyebrows. DS has recently mastered the one eyebrow moody look.

rachel2kids Sat 26-Oct-13 21:19:18

Hi, new here. I saw an episode of Guiness World Records where a guy was breaking melons with his head! Hilarious

ouryve Sat 26-Oct-13 21:55:12

I asked DS1 this, earlier. He said he wanted to know who the richest person in the world was, but wanted to have the record "for the longest raspberry PPPFFFFTTTHHHHHZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

ouryve Sat 26-Oct-13 21:57:36

HellMouth - I think I set the record for the longest wee, yesterday, after sitting in a traffic jam on the A1 for over an hour - a 30 minute journey took almost 2 hours! Remember when Austen Powers came out of suspended animation? It was like that.

DanFmDorking Sun 27-Oct-13 00:23:37

My favourite Guinness Book record is the island in a lake which is on an island in a lake on an island. It’s in Canada and I’ve always wanted to go there and have a picnic!

pindorasbox Sun 27-Oct-13 00:30:38

shobby Sun 27-Oct-13 04:08:22

I have a very vivid memory of a woman on Blue Peter trying to break the record for the longest distance walked holding a house brick in one hand, I recall her walking around a roundabout at the old BBC centre? Sounds easy but you couldn't swap hands and a brick is heavy!! No use whatsoever but every time I move bricks around on my allotment I think of it! smile

OPeaches Sun 27-Oct-13 10:53:29

I always loved the strongman records when I was wee. To this day, I love watching Worlds Strongest Man on TV.

If we were to hold a record in this house, it would be for ownership of the most pieces of jaggy painful-to-stand-on Lego.

3bunnies Sun 27-Oct-13 12:10:06

I used to love the smalest and tallest people.

I think that dd1 deserves a place for the longest continuous bf session - it was about 7 hrs, got tougher with the younger ones!

moldingsunbeams Sun 27-Oct-13 22:57:26

DD LOVES these books,
She likes the gruesome ones hmm but did like the longest tightrope walk in high heals.

My dd would be in for the most times you could ask your mum for a puppy and not get one.

mumsbe Mon 28-Oct-13 08:57:52

I like the how long you can keep a malteeser up by blowing record but our record would be how many we could eat in a min

I still remember seeing someone with these enormously long fingernails on 'Record Breakers'. Apparently the current fingernail title holder can actually cook and clean with her 20 feet nails. How?

I also love the recent record for the longest scarf knitted while running a marathon.

Do they offer a world record for number of days lived entirely on crisps alone? Longest time spent in pajamas over a week holiday? DS1 would definitely like to build a record breaking Lego tower. DS3 is currently working on breaking the record for the shortest time a pair of shoes can last before he puts a hole in the front. Currently 5 days.

I like the ones about circus skills. I find the abilities of some people to perform such physical feats as tight rope walking amazing!

I'm not sure what our record would be - quickest time to change a nappy?!

Letitsnow9 Mon 28-Oct-13 17:36:57

The most paper cranes collected or longest distance on a space hopper

whattodoo Mon 28-Oct-13 19:07:41

Wasn't there one about the most dominoes toppling in a row? I'm sure I remember seeing that on TV.

Mine would be how many episodes of Scooby doo I can recite word for word.

Always the longest beard or nails. Gross and dedicated.

Ours must be the longest continuous period of interrupted night's sleep. 6 years and still counting.

supermam Mon 28-Oct-13 19:39:15

Yes, it's got to be the longest nails that fascinate me too! I mean, they must have servants to help with daily life.(Driving? Typing? Toilet?!!!) When I was 11 I was convinced that I could hop on one stilt longer than anyone else! ( 75 times, if you're asking - and no, I don't know why! ) I still like to think I could do it today over twenty ( ahem) years later!

wheretoyougonow Mon 28-Oct-13 19:44:22

Well ours has to be any 'eating' records! The more obscure the better. I am sure my boys would live to take on the worlds biggest burger!

Tiggles Mon 28-Oct-13 20:19:20

Like lots of PPs it's the fingernails that I have to look at. Recently though DS2 (7) chose to buy the Olympic Guiness World Records and he is enjoying reading me lots of little facts from there.
In terms of setting records DH is currently working really hard to try and set a cycling world record. I don't have the motivation to set any myself.

The highest guinea pig jump but I reckon ours could beat it

We would like any kind of eating record or football record eg longest football match played

TiggyD Tue 29-Oct-13 10:25:15

I'd like to be in as the richest person in England The World The Galaxy THE KNOWN UNIVERSE!

Could this be arranged please? It's on my bucket list, and I have a nasty cough at the moment so don't hang around!

We love the smallest animal records, ie the smallest dog or horse. Dd's would like to hold the record for most annoying children, well they seem to have been practicing really hard for most of this half term...

LordPalmerston Wed 30-Oct-13 04:02:39

Son would like to be youngest person to know the periodic table off by heart. I know.

Love the book. Already got this years

poopoopoo Wed 30-Oct-13 08:57:06

Our favourite record is the: GIRL SCOUTS OF SOUTHEAST FLORIDA,
LARGEST GATHERING OF PLUSH TOYS!
My little girl would like to hold the record for singing for the longest (and loudest)
My little boy would win the world record for the loudest tantrum! shock

Mamafratelli Wed 30-Oct-13 20:49:41

My favourite record is the most smurfs in one place at a time.

My dd wants to attempt to get the world record for the longest hair in the world rapunzel has a lot to answer for
