Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons has just created a new tool where you can upload your favourite pictures and create your own personalised video to celebrate moments shared with your children.

Cadbury would love for you to try it out and create your own Memory Lane with the memories with your kids that you love. So, try out the memory lane tool, and share the link to your own memory lane, or tell us what you thought of the memory lane tool.

All those who either share the link to their memory lane or leave a comment on their experience with it will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £265 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks, and good luck with the prize draw!

Well that was disappointing Hmm
The pictures are too small and cropped out my dd1 on most of them. The 360 doesn't work very well either and the music just irritating.
Don't really want to post a link as it has our photos and names on. Never mind. Wasted 5 minutes I guess!

Haha I was coming back to say the same as Frank didn't work very well for me either! Same issues with size of pictures and 360 not working well. Ah well! Nice idea?!

I'm sorry to say I'm not impressed at all. I can't think of any time I would use it (other than the last 5mins!)
Photos are too small to see, also why did I have to wait for it to be emailed to me? Surely it could be viewed instantly online.
dairy milk should maybe go down memory lane to get the recipe of the nice tasting chocolate they have lost

Sorry Cadbury, but that was utter shite! Excellent idea, just not done very well. The pictures are tiny, I nearly missed one in the shop window it was so small. Also it isn't the whole picture being shown and had bits missing! Needs a lot of improving... pictures definitely need to be much bigger. Shame, as it could have been really good.

Just to let you know that I've tried the memory lane tool and was very disappointed too. I thought the pictures were far too small, cropping some of the photo out and the 360 didn't work for me either. I'm afraid it's not something that I would use although it's a nice idea.

Same as everyone else- the photos are too small and it crops people out. it is a lovely idea though and perhaps with some more work it will be a success.

Seems to take quite a while to send you the link... or maybe that's just me...

I'm still waiting on mine!

One's literally come through -were you watching cadbury's-

It's pretty rubbish. Didn't realise what I should be looking for until I read the thread BlushConfused

Lovely idea but didn't quite work in the execution. But it is a really nice idea, Cadburys - don't give up on it, but you need to allow space to make the pictures bigger...from a users perspective, we are more interested in our pics than the Cadburys imaging, so it needs to fit around our memories, not have them fit into your tool, if you see what I mean :)

I quite liked it and it's easy to use. The link is very slow in coming through though. Should be Instant

Jeepers ... Takes a long time to come through. It'd better be worth the wait!

Oh. Cute idea, and would be lovely to put together pics of a day out, but the images were too tiny!

Wish I had read the comments first, was rather disappointed in the end result and wish I hadn't bothered to be honest. Need to do something about photo size, far too small

Sorry, that's just crap.

Sorry, I agree with others here. There was a long wait to be sent the link and then the photos were tiny and seemed to have chopped bits off!

It looked like a realistic street I suppose but I didn't think it was anything to shout about. I had more fun looking through my camera roll for the photos, I'm afraid.

Sorry.

I find it an unusual process having to put in your details to get it emailed to you and one that I don't really find works. I agree with a pp that you should have the result instantly in front of you.
I received my email with mine, but i can't even open the videos to view them, so can't even comment on the end result as of yet.

What rubbish! Pictures are too small and not very clear. Its a good idea but needs a lot of work doing

Don't think this tool works very well at all and actually find the concept flawed. Have plenty of non-branded options for creating memories online.

The fact that I do a lot of video editing and graphic design professionally makes it very unlikely I'd use a tool like this for anything.

LunaLoveg00d · 17/08/2016 23:09

Hmm. It's a bit twee, isn't it? I quite like the idea of exploring a virtual street of memories but you should be able to rotate, zoom, pause, click for more details etc.

Would I use it? Probably not. There are lots of other programs which do similar things, without the branding. Sorry Cadbury. Your Buttons are great, this not so great.

Not that impressed....my photos came out tiny and bits cut off too. And I almost gave up waiting on the link....thought I'd mistyped my email at one stage and was never gonna get it. Cool idea but needs more work I'm afraid.

It's a nice idea but hings are so instant now it seems a bit unnecessary to have to enter details, submit and then wait. An instant slideshow would be far preferable. I can't really see this taking off to be honest.

Nice idea but I could hardly see my pictures. They were tiny and blurry and the street looked generic and uninteresting. It didn't give me the warm and fuzzy feeling that it was clearly meant to. And I tried it twice. If the idea is that you make a street showing your kids growing up then you need to be able to include far more photos.
