One of our Mumsnet Family Friendly members, Bella Italia say "Italians are known for enjoying the good things in life- savouring the things which really matter: family time, relaxation, sunshine and of course great meals cooked with great ingredients! At Bella Italia, we share this passion, and you can now get a taste of the Italian summer with our new menu.

Start your meal with our Taste of Italy Antipasti platter with cured meats from the north and south of Italy and enjoy it over a lovely glass of Aperol Spritz. Our new Salmone Limone pasta, is the perfect summer dish, made using pasta from Italy’s oldest pasta maker, the Agnesi family, and it’s their craft which you can enjoy in many of our pasta dishes. To top it off, add a little sunshine to the end of your meal with our delicious Limoncello meringue pie."

Check out their new video here:

I can't say I have a favourite but anything eating as the Italians do, relaxed, chilled out and al fresco suite me. lovely homemade bread with dipping oils and some Italian antipasti would work really well on a hot summers day.

Prosciutto with melon or, even better, with fresh figs is divine in warm weather as a light lunch or a first course for a relaxed evening in the garden.

I simply adore vitello tonnato, so I'd have to have that next, then a platter of beautiful Italian cheeses with a digestivo.

Got to be ice cream, or more precisely gelato! Washed down with an ice cold glads of prosecco, outdoors, early evening sunshine! Belisimo!

Crusty bread dipped in olive oil and vinegar, fish baked in foil with fennel and tomatoes followed by a huge bowl of tiramisu.
All washed down with an ice cold Pinot Grigio of course!

Love a vongole in summer although I never cook it myself. Love different salads in summer from beans to adding goats cheese and fruit along side a frittata if I'm whipping something up. Also love a BBQ!

No favourite, just Italian food on the whole is my favourite (and Italian wine)

Blimey I can't choose.
I love carprese, so fresh and light. Maybe in the Summer sitting outside.
But I think parmigiana done really well is gorgeous, as long as the aubergines don't take over!
And rice ice cream to finish...

Missed the Italian part (tired mum brain)! Vongole still stands. Love a caprese salad, bruschetta and a thin pizza with buffalo mozzarella and rocket. But nothing beats a tiramisu!

Anything with ricotta cheese, nice cold bruschetta on warm bread, homemade wood fired pizza, and of course lots and lots of gelato.
Oh my- I absolutely love Italian food.

I love antipasto salad with salami, cheese, anchovies, asparagus, lettuce and olives. Gorgeous on a hot day.

I also love ALL Italian food so finding a favourite Italian dish is tricky. I think I would have to go for pea and parmesan risotto. Yum

I love Panzanella, it's a lovely summer dish and goes brilliantly with a barbecue. My friend gave me a recipe which I have stuck in my little cook book Smile
