Bath time. DS is only just learning to walk but he runs to the bath in the evening and squeals all the way through his bath with Daddy.

DH works from home and takes his lunch break every day at DDs bedtime because he wants to put her to bed, give her cuddles and read her bedtime book.
The house is full of laughter and chatter during this time and it never fails to make me smile that they have that special time together every day no matter what else is going on.
Even though sometimes I jump in and start making the animals noises from the book because I want to join in the fun

Every evening when the two year old hears the key in the lock she scrambles up off the sofa, where she's usually watching wind down tv, to race to the door and stands there trying to jump up and down (but not actually leaving the floor) shouting "dada dada dada" over and over again as though she's not seen him for a month until he picks her up and says hello. (She sees him everyday and every evening has the same overexcited reaction to him coming home. I think it makes his day too and it certainly makes me smile)

My dp is stepdad to my two girls and he's brilliant with them. He always has time for them, will get up at the crack of dawn to drive them somewhere or go out late to pick up teen. They both love him and my youngest loves kissing the top of his bald head and then sort of polishing his head afterwards, which always makes him laugh.

When they are playing footie in the garden - he becomes one of the kids or when they are wrestling. Love watching them together.

Ours are older and so I really like seeing them engaged in some conversation or debate where they have a shared interest (Game of Thrones, or Space anyone?) and where I am not involved. I like the fact that we have created people who have opinions and make arguments and have interests and suggest things for us to see and enjoy. I also love watching them come through the door laughing at something they have shared and then falling over their words trying to explain the joke to me.

DP works nights so sleeps during the day, when I say to ds (13mths) it's time to wake daddy he toddles over to the stairs and starts shouting daddy then all the way along the hallway he shouts for him until he reaches the bed and pats him on the head shouting "up daddy" till DP grabs him and pulls him up on the bed, there's lots of giggling and it makes my heart melt every day

My OH isn't my eldest's Daddy but he sure plays the part well - my favourite moment between them is watching them play hide and seek! There's nothing but sheer joy in both of their faces when they managed to find each other & my DS comes up with the funniest hiding places - including in his baby brothers cot!! (We're not quite sure how he got in there tbh!)

My OH became a Daddy at the start of 2016 & everyday I love seeing the bond between him and his little man grow - he got his first laugh out of him (to say I was jealous is an understatement) and now seeing them smiling and laughing each other makes my day - even after 0 sleep the night before!

I absolutely love watching my three boys helping Daddy out with the gardening or in his shed doing woodwork together. They love to help him and I adore seeing how proud he is of them.

I love watching my DH setting out on an adventure with the kids and the dog. Last weekend they climbed a mountain ( local hill) swing on rope swings in the woods and came home muddy and happy

When daddy gets home. The children's faces and excitement EVERY SINGLE DAY is amazing! You think they'd get bored of it. Noooo. It's so cute to see though.

When DH gets home from work, he gets leapt on by DD1 and used as a climbing frame for 10 minutes. Then at bath time they have imaginative stories they play through together with the bath toys - like visiting Mr Crocodile's ice cream shop!

DH takes the girls to the football regularly. They get the train to London wearing their scarves and big smiles, meet up with other family members and watch the game, followed by a visit to a pie and mash place for dinner before travelling home. They love it and I get a break so it's win win, even when they lose!

My 2yo and 5mo boys faces light up when daddy comes home. 2yo dances and shouts "Daddy home Daddy home" then drags me to the door to greet him and my 5mo can't take his eyes off him and always saves his biggest smiles for daddy. They all sit together on the sofa and play for a while when he gets home and I sit drinking my tea and thinking abut how lucky I am.

My dp is currently teaching dd1 to play draughts. Its lovely watching him carefully explain to her and let her win just often enough to hold her interest.

DD has finally at 4 years of age learnt to wave goodbye. She will ONLY do this for DH. She's very proud of herself.

So now the poor neighbours have to hear DD almost howling "bye bye daddy!" repeatedly until he's out of sight, whilst DS waves and burbles (1yo).

I love listening to dh trying to catch up with middle ds about his day. Dh is a rugby playing beer drinking 'bloke' and middle ds is a teeny, curly long haired thespian, who adores kittens, colouring and musical theatre. Listening to dh trying to relate and show an interest makes me giggle (silently).

DS2 teaching his dad how to play rock guitar makes me smile.
DS1 and DH swapping dad jokes while cooking up a Full English together is very sweet.
Though one of my strongest, fondest memories is just seeing them ahead of me in the street on the way to the park when DC were tiny. They stopped at a crossing and DC each tucked a tiny hand into DH's giant ones and looked up at him, waiting for him to give the nod to cross safely. He looked such a gentle giant and they looked so tiny and trusting and happy to be with him.

When my husband gets home from bike rides, he often does a series of stretching exercises, and my two sons will get down on the floor and start copying his every move. It is very sweet - until he throws in a couple of press ups and then the boys will jump on his back and it will descend into wrestling!!

Mine is going to sound really sad, but I can walk into the room and they are all 3 (DH and 2 DC) nose down in their iPads - and all playing the same game - DH has the DC's iPads on his iTunes account, so when he buys a new game they all get it. They will sit there apparently not talking but then suddenly start comparing notes and I have not the first idea what they are all on about.

Dh tickles ds when he puts him to bed and ds does this high pitched squealing kind of laugh while trying not to wake his sister

It cracks me up every time - he never ever laughs like that apart from bed time when his dad is home.

I Love to hear it and it makes me smile/laugh/cry all at once.

Everyone in one room reading, together but in side by side worlds. I love that.

When they are both absorbed in reading a book out loud together making up silly voices for all the characters (and remembering the voices when they read it again).

I work nights quite a lot of weekends, so dh takes our two boys out for adventures and thinks of lots of lovely things to do - like catching a train to a city to watch a steam train coming in, or taking the dog out to the lake. I also love their laughter when he's reading bedtime stories and is much more willing to be silly than I am.
