You may remember a while back we ran an Easter-themed treasure hunt around the site with Cadbury. Due to popular demand we've decided to challenge Mumsnetters to a similar hunt, with a twist . This time we've hidden Cadbury Dairy Milk Pebbles around the site and we need you to find them.
The same rules apply as last time (see below) BUT we'd also love you to contribute to the MN version of Hansel and Gretel over the week. Here's how it'll work:
We've hidden seven Cadbury Dairy Milk Pebbles on various Talk boards around the site, you can see a full list of all talk topics here. Each day we'll post a clue on this thread which will direct you to a specific Talk topic.
Once you've figured it out head on over to the relevant talk board and you should see a Cadbury Dairy Milk Pebble, if you're correct make a note of the first letter of the talk topic - so if the clue takes you to Style and Beauty the letter you're after is S.
Collect all 7 letters, unscramble them and you'll be left with a word. Then you simply need to submit the word on the competition page (at the end of 7 days) and you'll be entered into the prize draw to win a £250 voucher of your choice.
What about Hansel and Gretel? I hear you say - well, never fear, all shall be explained .
Below is the first clue which also happens to be the start of our Hansel and Gretel themed fairytale.
Once you've found the Cadbury Dairy Milk Pebble, please do add a sentence each to expand upon the story. Each time we post a new clue, we'll change the direction of the story (based on the talk board the Cadbury Dairy Milk Pebble is hidden on). You don't have to include references to Cadbury Dairy Milk Pebbles but please feel free to shoehorn in include if you wish
One final note, you're more than welcome to help each other out but please don't post the answer on here once you've worked it out
Here are the clues:
Day one: Once upon a time, long, long ago a Wood Cutter and his wife had twins, a little boy and a little girl. However when the LOs were born, the wood cutter and his wife just couldn't seem to agree on a name for their PFBs...
Day two: Unfortunately soon after, the Wood Cutter's wife unexpectedly passed away. He was beyond devastated and decided the best option would be to move his family abroad and get away for a while. This was a huge decision and he wasn't sure where to go or what he needed. "Where could I find such information?" he wondered...
Day three: "Is that Katie Hopkins Price and Amanda Holden Redman?" he whispered. Gretel wasn't so sure but had heard on the grape vine slebs often hung out in the dark forest on a Saturday night. Gretal discretely took out her iPhone from her pocket and informed a popular parenting site of her latest sleb sighting....
Day four: "Someone needs to teach you some manners!" The Witch grumbled as she sat down on the sofa with her iPad, brew and cake. "Let's see if there's any tips for teaching manners on Mumsnet."...
Day five: Hansel and Gretel decided this was a bad idea, after all anyone could turn up, and instead suggested the Witch baked a 16 tier cake and decorated it with Cadbury Dairy Milk Pebbles.
However they weren't sure what quantities to use for such a large cake and need some more advice, so once again they turned to Mumsnet for help...
Day six:As it was the Wood Cutter's birthday, the children picked up a card on their way home "Deer Father, We hope you're birthday is everything you want it two be. Enjoy youre day. Lot's of luv Hansel and Gretel"
When the Wood Cutter saw the writing in the card, horrified he sent the children straight to corner.
Day seven:Inspired by the MN Style and Beauty threads the step mother decides to make amends with Hansel and Gretel. "Let's clear out some of your old clothes so we can buy you a nice new collection."
"What a great idea" Said Gretel, "although I'm not too sure how to use that selling website, where can I get some great advice?"
