As you may know we are working with George Foreman Grills to promote their range of grills.
George Foreman say "We've been wowed by the response we've had from Mumsnetters to our George Foreman testing! The feedback has been great and it's fab to see all the new meal ideas which can be made on our grills"
They are now after your best grill based family recipes to feature on some new GF recipe cards. Recipes can include savoury and sweet dishes that could cooked already on a GF grill, or indeed ones which are cooked by you on a regular grill or BBQ but that you think could be adapted for a GF grill.
Add your recipe below and the MNers submitting the 10 best recipes chosen by the George Foreman team will each win a Russell Hobbs Creations Food processor worth £44.99 and available exclusively to Argos. Key key criteria to win would be that your submission is creative, versatile and family friendly.
The top 10 recipes chosen will then be "professionalised" by the team at George Foreman into recipe cards with photography and put on the GF pages on Mumsnet and on the main GF website for people to download. If your recipe/ fav grill prep is picked you will also receive a hard copy set of the winning recipes.

(I have a grill thingy in the cupboard. it was aa wedding present. I don't think it has ever been used.
Hi! A quick and easy delicious recipe we do is spicy chicken. You will need chicken breasts ( cut into strips) yogurt, curry paste (shop bought, you can make your own but hardly easy for a busy mum) mintsauce (optional) pitta breads and salad. Mix chicken, paste and yogurt leave for 30 mins or more if you have time! Get GF nice and hot then cook for about 20 mins so nice and juicy. Whilst the chicken is cooking, toast the pitta breads and fill with salad. With the spare yogurt you could mix this with mint sauce to make a nice sauce for the top of the chicken. Easy and yummy! When the chicken is cooked place inside the salad stuffed pitta bread dollop some sauce on top and bon appetite! Cheap, quick, easy, delicious and a family favourite!

No Named Salmon Recipe!
You'll need (makes 2 adult servings):
2 Salmon Fillets
1 tbsp Low salt soy sauce
1tsp Chinese spice
1/2 tsp honey
3 cloves fresh garlic
alb white potatoes, peeled + chopped into small chunks
splash of milk
Fine green beans
1. Mix soy sauce, chinese spice and honey.
2. Coat Salmon in mixture and leave to marinade for 20 minutes.
3. Chop garlic and place in pan with potatoes. Bring to boil and simmer until garlic is soft and potatoes easily fall apart.
4. Whilst potatoes are cooking place salmon fillets on medium heated grill and cook until Salmon is heated thoroughly through out. (May want to lightly oil the grill to help avoid sticking.
5. Place fine beans into a own of ready boiling water and boil for 5 minutes.
6. Drain potatoe and garlic. Mash lightly. Add butter and enough milk + pepper to suit your own taste. Mash until smooth. Use electric whisk for best effect
Place salmon, beans and Garlic mash onto plate. Voila! your own posh restaurant meal!
We're having this meal on Wednesday so will try to remember and take a picture!
I make lamb kebabs - chunks of lamb neck fillet alternated with red and green pepper and onion and cherry tomatoes, brushed with olive oil and cooked in the grill, serve with a lovely green salad and home made tzaziki, yum!

We are a gluten / corn free house and I struggle with bread substitutes and don't want to cook too much with oil (though I do add it unheated to food. I make potato rosti on the grill.
Peel and cook potatoes for 8 minutes and refrigerate overnight. Immunologist has suggested refrigeration makes the proteins more easy to digest. Grate potatoes, shape into patties, brush lightly with virgin olive oil and grill. They make wonderful grain free buns for burgers.
Thick slices of aubergine (don't be faffing with the soaking malarkey, not necessary) Grill on grill thingy, put to one side.
Do same with thick slices of tomato
Make mini towers of aubergine, tomato and a cheese of your choice (feta is good or mozzarella for the wusses) Between each layer put a basil leaf and sprinkle oregano on the tomato layer. Make the top layer a cheese layer and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top. Skewer it vertically and regrill just to melt the cheese.
Greek chicken- it's delicious!
Skinless Chicken breasts or skinless and boneless chicken thighs 400g
1 small tub natural yogurt
A ziplock freezer bag
Chop the chicken into thin strips then put them in your freezer bag then add the yogurt, 3 desert spoonful's of mint sauce. Seal the bag and mix the ingredients around. Squeeze out all the air from the bag and smoosh it all together. Put in the fridge to marinate for at least 1hr but overnight is best. The longer you marinate it the better it will taste- the acids in the yogurt and mint sauce will break down the protein in the chicken and make it cook quickly but still taste moist and tender.
Cook on a hot grill for about 10 minutes. This recipe is great because you can you can add veggies to the grill and make skewerless kebabs (serve with pitta bread and couscous and maybe a greek salad for a fun summer meal), or even put the meat on skewers and have an indoor bbq for the days when you need a bit of summer but the weather isn't co-operating. You can also use the chicken for lunch boxes, simply take the cooked chicken and some pita bread and a bit of lettuce and you've got a really healthy lunch time.
Halloumi cheese, cut into thinnish squares
Peppers, cut to chunks
Red onions, cut to chunks
Put on kebab sticks
Mix together olive oil, fresh garlic, basil/parsley and red chilli and rub onto the kebabs.
Grill, serve with wedges and salad. Yum!
Not really worthy of winning a grill but I had my first George Forman when I was a student. We all chipped in for one in our shared house.
It was used endlessly to make toasties. We started off with good old cheese and onion, bread buttered on the outside.
We became more adventurous later and would make paninies with various fillings, often with baked beans (student staple!)
my favourite recipe from student days is one I make for my children now, a cheats calzone pizza.
Pre made pizza dough or home made rolled out to be slightly larger than a slice of bread.
Leave 1cm edge all around and spread tomato purée/ketchup sprinkle with sliced red onion, cheese, and any other pizza favourites, usually ham mushroom or sweet corn in our house.
Fold in half and press the dough together with a fork. I put a little butter on the dough so it's nice and crispy when it cooks.
It takes about ten
Mins to cook in my gf but probably less in a new one, my current one is 10 years old and cooking times are a little longer.
Also works well with pre bought puff pastry, or even a slice of normal bread. Tried it with a tortilla once which was a failure as it burnt before the filling was ready.
2 Good quality pork chops, marinaded in a mixture of:
30ml soy sauce
15ml fish sauce
2 Teaspoon brown sugar
Teaspoon whole grain mustard
Salt and pepper
Once marinaded for as long as possible (at least 2 hours), pop on the grill with a little honey drizzled over and cook through, turning them to stay tender.
Serve on a bed of stir fried bean sprouts and mushrooms.
Honey and mustard chicken ciabattas
Cut a long ciabatta load in half then slice through middle. Toast the inside soft side of each piece.
Marinade 4 chicken breasts, which have been bashed with a rolling pin so they are nice and thin, in 2tbps honey, 1tbsp wholegrain mustard, 1tbsp balsamic vinegar and 1tbsp olive oil.
Grill the chicken and serve ontop of the ciabatt bread and with a green leaf salad.
Goldilocks minted grilled lamb supper
Lamb steaks 4
Rolled oats 100g
Mint leaves 12, rolled like a cigar and finely chopped
Grated Parmesan, 3 tbs
Egg, 1 whisked
Baby fennel, 8 bulbs
Red onion, 1 peeled & quartered
Olive oil, a good glug
Halloumi, 4 slices
PRE-HEAT grill and line with foil.
BLITZ oats, parmesan and mint in a blender.
DIP lamb steaks in the beaten egg.
COAT lamb steaks with oat mix and lay on foil lined grill.
DRIZZLE oil over veg and stir in a bow, season generously!
SCATTER vegetables around the lamb.
GRILL for 25 minutes, turning meat and veg a few times.
FIVE minutes before end of cooking, place halloumi slices over each steak.
SERVE on a bed of creamy mash!
One of my regular recipes is this Spicy Chicken.
4tbsp hot pepper sauce
2 cloves crushed garlic
2tbsp chopped coriander
3tbsp olive oil
4 chicken breasts
Simply mix all the marinade ingredients together with some salt and pepper. Slash the chicken breasts and soak in marinade. Cover and leave in the fridge for a few hrs or overnight.
Grill for 20 mins or until cooked. Serve with a fresh green salad.
Grilled fruit kebabs - not sure where we got this recipe from, but have adapted it a bit over the years!
thread chunks of fresh pineapple, peach or nectarine, and whole strawberries on to kebab sticks (other fruits that work well include banana, kiwi fruit, and mango).
brush them with melted butter then dust with icing sugar.
grill (we normally bbq this) for a few minutes on each side.
serve with a chocolate yoghurt dip made by mixing 1 tbsp of maple syrup with 1 cup of greek yoghurt and 2 tbsp of cocoa powder. (this is even better with grated chocolate stirred into it btw, but we don't tend to bother with it when making this for the kids to eat!)
chicken breast, bacon & mixed sliced peppers all chucked on the grill.
cut every thing up and add to a bowl of pasta.
Add shredded lettuce and a drizzle of french dressing, mix all together.
Yummy. In under 15 mins.
My fav is slice some raw chicken and marinade in some olive oil, garlic and lemons (juiced and skin) grill till cooked and can be served in loads of ways but I like it in pitta
Our George makes the best ruddy toasties in the world but I guess you need something a little more inspirational for a recipe card.
Really easy Veggie Kebabs
Chop any veg you like, good ones are:
Carrots (need par-boiling beforehand)
Cut them into c. 1 inch cubes. Put the cubes in a large mixing bowl with a tbsp of olive oil, some crushed garlic and some rosemary. Make sure everything is thoroughly mixed and then thread them onto some kebab sticks. GRILL!!!
Easy veggie kebabs which are yummy for everyone
Chicken pieces marinated (hour minimum) in strong orange marmalade that has a touch of water added to it. Take chicken pieces and grill until cooked through thoroughly. Serve with anything you like - rice, potatoes or fresh, crisp salad.
Be sure to clean the grill before it cools down!
crispy bacon - grilled to perfection,
ciabatta buns/loaves, sliced open to grill into stripes
tomatoes, 1/2ed, grill until warm
assemble with mixed leaves and squelch of good mayonnaise
= the best BLTs ever
