DD2 has poor sight with a severe squint that is corrected by glasses. I would love her to wear contact lens, she will be 14 in a few months time.
She is a very good figure skater and the glasses are causing a problem. When she spins now very fast her glasses go flying across the ice. Amusing when it happens in practice but will be disastrous if it happens in competition or causes another skater to have an accident.
Does anyone else have a DC with SEN that can manage contact lens. I fear DD2 would forget to take them out/ ignore us telling her to take them out. I'm very squeamish of eyes so couldn't take them out.
The alternative is for her to wear a strap to secure her glasses.
