Hi,
My son has Aspergers and constantly fidgets, is anxious, can't relax, has hypersensitivity to touch etc.

I am a qualified herbal therapist and aromatherapist and stated to use massage techniques and calming oils on him. Amazing. He actually will lie still in my therapy room whilst he gets 1/2 hour massage.

The room is darkened, has colour change lights, meditation music etc

I used to treat adults but totally redid my room for kids and treat ASD kids now.

My son actually makes an appointment now if he feels stressed.

I tailor the massage/treatment to specific sensory problems and even make up inhalers with the oils the kids prefer, so they can take the 'smell' home.

I have tried herbal remedies too and they do reduce his anxiety, make him more relaxed. It's not something I give him long term though, just during stressful periods to help him cope. Christmas, holidays etc.

Works for some, not for everyone, like most things it's trial and error I suppose.
Hope that helps
