My son is 6 with severe autism, and I'm looking for a multivitamin for him that will meet his daily requirements and preferably which is designed for children with ASD. What recommendations does MN have?

We use Eye Q Omega oil and Behaviour Balance. There is a thread on the general special needs site at the moment with some interesting advice from other MN.

Not sure if you're still looking, but we use this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Floradix-Kindervital-Original-Childrens-Multivitamin/dp/B0013G8I04/ref=sr_1_8?s=drugstore&ie=UTF8&qid=1353414721&sr=1-8

Plus this to support his immune system, esp in the winter:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Natures-Plus-Sunshine-Supplement-Tropical/dp/B0031TQ7YA/ref=sr_1_1?s=drugstore&ie=UTF8&qid=1353414822&sr=1-1

And a child specific pro biotic which has helped considerably.

Good luck.

Also worth reading as these have lots of info on vits and diet:
www.theyarewhatyoufeedthem.com/ (I bought from an online shop called Evergreen as Amazon was taking months)
www.doctor-natasha.com/dr-natasha.php (and the 'Gut & Psychology Syndrome book by this GP)
