My mum has multiple sclerosis & currently lives with my 20 year old sister in a flat she owns, I rent. When my sister moves out I am debating buying a house with an annexe for my mum. Does anyone know how this would affect things like tax credits etc (I have 2 dc). My mum can't work due her m.s, but does get disability living allowance etc. is anyone in a similar situation, or could anyone offer any advice? Thanks in advance!

I meant my mum owns a flat, I rent a house. (made it sound like we already lived together in OP!)
