Special needs help from social services when transition stage begins

My son is on the Autistic scale, and he was diagnosed with classical Autistic in childhood. However, now he has became 18 and is no longer with the Children's Team with social services, there was no smooth transition to Adult Services and Social Care. Consequently my son is now in crisis, because of the way social serices have not seen to his Autism, and there is NO SPECIAL SOCIAL SERVICES TEAM that deals with Autism. All efforts to secure help have come to nothing, and have precipitated a crisis at this moment. Where is the support for adolescents during this stage, and what is their legal right, as they are suffering from a disability. The Mental Health Teams won't take them and the Social Services Teams won't keep them either. Where do loving, compassionate parents go to save our children's lives?

I phoned MENCAP...they were brilliant. A lot of the problems I now find myself in were because the transition didn't work. If they can't help they will point you in the right direction. TBH they even support my son l8 hours week now by sending in a support worker
