dyslexia......what should I ask dds teacher?

One of my twins has been diagnosed with dyslexia after much persuasion and worry on my part. I haven't yet had the report and expect to be given it tomorrow when I have a meeting with teacher.

I want to do the best I can and not cry in this meeting as I usually want to for some reason. What should I ask the school
and what should I expect in terms of extra support. I'm also concerned about the time its taken to get to this stage and how other teachers have missed/ ignored this. Unfortunately I have a dd who says she's stupid and has lost interest in learning.
