Hi my son with ADHD is about to return to mainstream after a stint at a special needs school, which has done him wonders. The class size was small and there were 3 adults in the team so he had trained and focussed attention.

The school want to re-integrate him into mainstream now that he has caught up with his work and emotionally and behaviourally he has matured. He is showing by his achievements that he is potentially being/going to be held back academically by the other children in his year. Where do I start to find the right school! Experience tells me that the Ofsted report is useless. (our previous experience in an 'outstanding' school)

The current school have suggested they will help me to find a new school and make this a very slow and calm transition, I don't doubt they will help. Does anyone have a GOOD experience with a school in Harrow, Watford, Brent or Barnet areas that might have a good SEN team who will make this an easy transition?

He has a statement so he can go anywhere, the trick is to choose the right place!

Any helpful suggestions welcome.

thanks
