Still feeling sad - Private Schools

Hello All,

A year ago a 'dear little' private school said that our Aspegers DS would not be allowed to transition into the junior part of the school as they were not going to "do" special needs and they coudlnt meet his needs. Even though they had other ASD chidlren in Juniors and presumably felt that they were meeting their needs (as they were taking the parents money!). He was about to get a statement and we were paying for 1:1 in the mean time.

We felt we had no option by to take him away and home schooled him until we could find something else - which we now have and he is doing OK - but I still feel so sad about what the school did.

Anyone else out there had similar troubles - I feel a bit as though it was just ds

Thanks
