DS2 is Year 7 - wanted to update.

He was unhappy moving to his dyslexia school in London. He is in his 2nd term of Year 7 now and has never been happier at school.

He is in a school with only other dys/dys kids and they talk openly to each other about their SpLDs and compare them without shame. They all have school funded laptops.

He is standing for the School Council and feels really confident in his learning.

There are 90 kids altogether from Years 7-11.

The best thing? I got the LEA to fund it.

The best thing I ever did was get him out of a mainstream school, he feels special now, and not in a bad way.

It's great to hear about a positive outcome.

Hope your DS continues to enjoy his time at school.

Best wishes
