DS3 is 16 in Sept. We received a letter saying that his DLA will stop in May unless he makes a claim for PIP.

But PIP will not allow us to start a claim until he is 16......

Anyone else had this? Any solutions?

Contact A Family have a PIP guide for 16+ and a benefits advice line, which might be helpful.

My ds is 16 in November so I'll be making enquiries soon too.

I called DLA office this morning, and they have agreed to extended his claim for an additional 6 months past his 16th birthday to give to apply for PIP.

But they can't send written confirmation of this confused so the only thing we can do is wait to see if the money stops...
