I have three teenagers who have ASD. My eldest being twins who are coming up 20, I was advised to apply on their behalf for ESA, I've done this.
Today I got two letters, both from the same person and dated the same day.
one to say that Bethan had been awarded ESA, complete with a three month back payment.
Second letter to say as a condition of entitlement to ESA Abbey would be required to attend an assessment for work capability assessment.
Addition note to say that my reasons for not returning the forms has been accepted.

I'm shaking my head in wonder, of course I sent in the form for her, how did they know we'd replied if they'd not recieved the form to start with?
If an assessment of entitlement is in fact a condition, why has Bethan been given it without condition?

Thanks for your reply.
I should've expected it really, they both got awarded different DLA levels too, maybe I should let ATOS come and do the assessment, if I turn the wifi off and move some of her precious items half an inch that should clinch it. wink
