Coooeee RnB, I was thinking of you just the other day and thought you must be in Canada. Have a good time and bring us back some syrup (that's what they do there isn't it?)

That is SOME syrup, not A syrup. I haven't lost my hair!

Isn't there an RDI thingy in the UK next year????

I still don't get how it works for non-verbal kids though- can they get past level 3? Have they said how much success they've had with non-verbal kids?

Have fun! I'm very jealous- always wanted to go to Canada. We were planning a camper van trip round Canada when I got pregnant with ds1.

Far as I can tell they were scoping out the interest for the UK and looks as though they might do something here - no idea on dates. I am going to South Africa to try to round up some interest so they'll bring it down there for us!! Kind of a daunting task but I'm already spreading 'the word'.

it's so exciting, i love all the build up to moving, fresh start and all that. Probably why i get itchy feet after about 3 years in the same place

Yep - I know what you mean - can't wait to get on the plane and get going.

Best part is we're going to have a lovely family holiday for about a month visiting with relatives before we go to South Africa.

Worst part is the movers are taking our computers on Monday so I'll be off MN until about 18 July when we check in with family who have computers.

sounds great!

i blame my itchy feet on my father being in the army, and moving every couple of years

We moved a lot when I was a kid - I think that is what has made me so adaptable and ready to go every few years...

My stepmother came from a military family so kept moving us around - we never stayed anywhere longer than 2-3 years. I went to at least 15 schools between kindergarten and end of school. I hope to not quite do that with my kids but there are definitely a lot of pros and some cons to moving on a regular basis. Saying "See ya later" to friends being one of the hardest. At least I can catch up on MN but won't be able to meet like before.
