Thats great then. It will feel strange at first for you but just think of the time you have now.

Hi Sparkly, I know it's not quite the same thing but my ds goes to his dad's for 5 hours on a Saturday pm - he has been doing this for over 6 years and I am still not used to it! It's so quiet and I feel like I left something behind as he isn't pulling on my arm to do something.

I am sure she will have a wonderful time and count down the days til she can go again.

If you can, do something for YOU - remember it's your time too - dare I say - try and relax?. Let us know how she gets on!

she loved it, is very tired now tho. She walked to the bus stop, went into town, walked round town, and then came home. The carer is tired now

Glad it all went well! What did you do with yourself?

Our Crossroads carer took Amelia for 4 hours yesterday. I intended to sit down and fill out those lovely DLA forms that are still hovering. Then a friend rang and I spent over an hour chatting on the phone! After that I was just so angry with myself because I had all that time and didn't achieve anything to show for it!
