Been away and missed my baby

Well she's not a baby, she's such a little lady, it took my breath away when I saw her again for the first time in days. We went to New York and left her in the care of her grandparents. Couldn't wait to pick her up and as I sprung into the room I just stopped in my tracks as this little girl in front of me with her long hair in a pony tail. She looked fabulous, so grown up and so, so beautiful.

Her reaction to us was delicious. Lots of kisses and huge cuddles and she kept saying 'daddy, dadddy, look daddy - mummy' and then she'd point daddy out to me as well! She sat astride me, put my face in her hands and snogged the face off me!!!! She kept saying 'Allo dadddieeeee' and then cracking up laughing, she didn't quite know what to do with herself, very funny, very cute.

She's been doing lots of pulling to stand this week, some of which I've witnessed today, on the back of the sofa, lots of crawling, climbing up & down off the sofa and just seems to have really grown up so much is 5 days.

NY was bloody fab Twigglett, colder than I could have believed but sunny as well so lovely. I actually put on a pair of ice skates and went skating in central park. I was CRAP, but i let go of the side and went round 3 times, fell flat on my back and made my very achy legs even more achy but loved it. Spent a fortune, bought a v expensive pair of boots, actually make that 2 pairs, a pair of shiny silver trainers, about 12 tops, 3 trousers, loads of mac and Aveda products and we spoilt ourselves rotton, it was brilliant

The best thing about going away is coming home though, esp when you leave such a large part of you behind. Having said that she is now trying to draw on me with her carrot sticks that have been dipped in cream cheese! I missed her like mad but there is a lot to be said for some child free time

Have you seen the beautiful video clip thread here , it was probably posted while you were away, but is truly inspiring and put me in mind of your positive outlook and how much that can achieve

Hi TC welcome back (was wondering where you were) we missed you but since it was all for a good cause...keep us all posted. So envy you a bit of child-free pampering and how lovely to come back and see real changes in Lottie - bless the little cherub!
