anyone remember the pre-school concerns about my dd2 two years ago? theyraised concerns about ASD, and 'had never seen a child work with such intensity' before.
anyway, dd2 is now almost all the way through reception. she cant hold a pencil correctly, but has the neatest writing in her class (all class work is displayed, there is a marked difference between dd2 writing in full sentances and the other children in her class), her reading is aheadof the rest of the class, and she is apparently a very delightful lovely child, who is a bit of a perfectionist.
i have no idea at all if her quirkiness back then was due to boredom, or reaction to the situation with dh health. she is still quirky, to the point of being hilarious with it, she is a bit of a clown, very hyper still, and still doesnt sleep as much as the other children. she is still 'mad as a hatter' but so lovely. she is more curddly and loving now as well. she still yelps and makes noises randomly, still has that lous screech, but maybe i;m just used to it now lol.
I am starting to think the pre-school just werent equipped at all to deal with a child outside of the 'norm' on either side of the scale, so much so, that i never sent dd3 there. we decided to keep her at home, and we are attempting nursery in sept.
