Buggy boards for a bigger child...

I'm wondering about getting a buggy board for dd1 - she is 5 and can now walk shortish distances by herself but tires easily. Sometimes I just really can't be bothered with taking out the double pushchair but can't rely on her being able to walk the whole way.

I've got a maclaren so could use a basic Lascal board www.amazon.co.uk/Lascal-Buggy-Board-Basic-Black/dp/B000MQYYZ4/ref=pd_ts_by_13?ie=UTF8&s=baby&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21 but does anyone have any experience of using one of these with an older child? Are they big enough? Is a kiddyboard like this www.amazon.co.uk/Lascal-Kiddyboard-Maxi-2008/dp/B0017HDHB4/ref=pd_ts_by_10?ie=UTF8&s=baby&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21 better for bigger kids?

I did wonder about the sit-on ones but have heard they are a nightmare to use.

I still use my lascal buggy board for my DD also 5 for school every morning, with no problems atall.

She is on the small side though.

Hi there, I use a lascal buggyboard for my giant 3 year old with no problems - you do need quite long arms to use it with a maclaren though! the lascal kiddyboard are for a different type of pushchair - the type that have a bottom bar I believe. Quite good info here: www.lascal.se/web/BuggyBoard_Maxi_product.aspx

I'm looking for something different for dd as I find that when she is too tired to walk, she is too tired to stand up and so wants to try and sit on the buggyboard which just doesn't work! I am looking at this one but have no idea what it's like:www.litaf.com/web/inner.asp?cat=whtsnew&catId=1&info=45
