thinking of doing this although im due to start my driving lessons in the next month but since me and dh have split and ive told him he cannot have the car all the time as its unfair on dd who,s mobility its meant for.

if i surrender the car will i get any deposit back as ive only had it a year and does this stop you from getting another mobility car does anyone know?

thanks

sorry but why do you have to give up the car. the car is dd's not his. just have his name taken of the insurance and documents. maybe if you know someone who would drive for you. you could have their name put on.

it won't
ring motorbility and explain. even if you give the car back I have a feeling it costs money. explian it to them and get him taken of it.

Jenk, sorry to hear about you and DH. Do you know Family fund will pay for you to have driving lessons. Don't know what Motability do if you give back the car early.

My car effectively went back early after an accident in which is was written off. We got 6 months worth of deposit back and a new car so it shouldn't stop you getting another providing you still qualify with the DLA benefit.

They are a charity and really helpful on the phone, give them a ring and run it all by them. Good luck x

if you have a good reason they will return part of your deposit minus some amount. And wont penalise you.
Especially if you explain that you need a car for your child but your DH currently has it.
