picture cards: "wash hands"

Hi,

I've been given a copy of the do2learn picture cards for toileting to help my son, and was making up a schedule to put in the bathroom. BUT I can't see a card for 'wash hands' - so I have:
turn on tap
pump soap
turn off tap
dry hands

I feel that 'wash hands' would be a sensible middle stage (!) in the hand-washing schedule. I've found their website and checked on line, but I can't see 'wash hands'. Am I being really dim?

I was searching on the makaton page but had forgotten you can't get the symbols on there!

Can you have a sink/basin with some hands rubbing together over the top? Would that work for you? I think thats what the makaton one is

I've been searching too for my ds! Today I saw a 4 stage handwashing card in the hospital cloakroom and it was perfect! Was very tempted to borrow it to photocopy!!

is this any use? I haven;t any clue what do2learn cards are so don't know if it tallies with them or not. Would your DS know that that means run tap soap, rinse and ry? or does he really need the individual signs?

thanks. have printed the last one. I can insert it in the sequence.
I think that 'turn off tap' and 'dry hands' need reminding (!)

Currently have a 12 stage schedule for pooing so need to cut that down to fit his needs and the bathroom wall.

Am not sure how much the cards will help, but need to try.
