I hope your appointment goes well - can I ask have you been really pleased with Brainwave? We're looking at something extra to help dd who has Hemiplegia. I don't mind spending money if I know it's going to help. Did you go down to the centre and spend a few days there? It's hard to want to do the very best for your child but to have to think about money and travelling and stuff.

For the initial visit my dp and his mum took ds as we got a cancellation and I think they were there for 2 whole days possibly?! Now for the re-visits we go and stay the night so we there ready for 9.30 the next day. Its nice to be abe to stay and the cost of their accommodation is reasonable, just takes the hassle out of gettnig there in a hurry.

We have been pleased with Brainwave, I have to say as time goes n we find that we cannot always carry out his programme every day but I dont worry about that so much anymore. After their assessment they break each exercise down and teach you it and they also put theprogramme on DVD so yuo can watch it when you get home then on each re-visit they look at progress and either change the programme or keep cartain exercise in.

We also ask fir the hydrotherpay session they offer as ds loves the water....!

We were lucky enough for some friends to do some fundraising which helps with the cost but like you say you have to weigh up wanting to do the best with the financial side and the travelling.....!!
