the post office wont insure dd for her conditions of CP/Asthma//asd -they are not too concerened about ASD but as she is awaiting an operation for her tonsils removed they wont do it.
does anyone know who will insure children with medical conditions, we are going away on 02 sep to the canary islands.
TIA

I may be wrong, but my policy as I understand it insures us for everything except any problems arising existing medical problems. DS2 has asthma so basically if he has an asthma attack while we are away our insurance won't cover his treatment. However if he falls over and breaks his leg (eekk said it now we're cursed) then we are covered.

jenk - I usually insure with Natwest and have dd's health problems covered, even when she's been waiting for test/surgery - had to call another number and answer extra questions.

I have some others you can try too. Hold on, I'll be back.

Chapman Hurst Insurances on 0870 7506711.

Manor Insurance 0800 027 6171

Tesco aren't too bad and good old M&S

We would never take dd without extra cover it's just too risky.

Barclays insurance covered ds2, we did have to pay a premium but also covered him for asthma attacks etc.

thanks for those, i was quoted £170 by norwich union and the post office refused to cover dd cos she,s waiting for her tonsils out.
i managed to get cover through medici insurance for around £60 which i didnt think was too bad.
