Hellooo!
Cooppertop and i both described the day as 'sureal'!!
Every now and then it kept crossing my mind what we were doing!

No...laminators didn't even get a lookin!

We met up outside "@Bristol" which is like the science museum in london in my opinion...and all 5 boys ran around...and we just stood back in amazement! It was as if we'd all met before. Coppertops little girl was an angel...sat in her pushchair watching them all!

We do hereby confess that we deliberately had "fruit Shoots" to drink...in memory of Mumsnet Discussions!!!! And he DH even took a photo of us together....so i cannot wit to see that!

i'll be back later to say more...coppertop is still on holiday so will no doubt post her bit tomorrow!

i was so great to finally meet!

i think the only thing i got 'wrong' about coppertop...is that she does not talk non-stop like me....i had her down as a manic chatterbox (like me)...when infact she was so lovely and calm!

we had a few real laughs about how our husbands kept wandering off leaving us trailing behind...and how in the 'museum'...we both felt like we were hearding up sheep....and that included the wandering husbands!!!!

I could have sat there chatting all day....but we are mums...and we have to do mum stuff!!!!

at lunch time (i'll let CT confess where we ate lunch!)...my ds3 (alex) sat with them...and her DS2 sat with us!...

Her ds1 and my ds2 had such similar manerisms..it was spooky....and at one point her ds came behind me saying 'mama,mama'....and i thought it was my ds2 (leigh)!!!

before we split up to go shopping we said our goodbyes ...and it was really funny cos leigh then satrted making his 'funny' face...her DH then commented that their ds did similar...so we got him to demonstrate!!!....then her ds1 did what he called his 'gummy' face!!! And we had such a laugh.

it was as if noone else was there...and that is not how i normally feel going out!

(coppertop....hope you have not got a headache!)

another 'touching' moment....was when my ds3 alex had a meltdown cos we decided not to go to the zoo...to go shopping (well...i can see why he'd prefer the zoo!!!!)

and i went over to where he was sat...and started tring to win him over. Then coppertops ds2 came over...tranformer toy in tow....and simply sat at the same table...looking at me...then talking away to his toy...not butting in as other kids would do. maybe ASD kids don't have full blown empathy /facial expression skills....but maybe they do recognise another's meltdown???? It was like he had a sixth sense.

it was so lovely.

Sounds fab MrsF . I went to @Bristol for teh first time a couple of weeks ago - it's cool isn't it. This gets me wondering as to whether we could do a South West SN meet-up?

It was fantastic meeting MrsF.

The Forgetful boys are soooo similar to my 2 boys it was almost spooky. Within about 30 seconds of meeting they were all racing around together as though they'd known each other for years.

There was a slight mishap when we were wandering round @Bristol and there was a tannoy announcement for me and ds1. It turned out that ds2 had run off but someone had spotted him and 'handed im in'. He wasn't even remotely upset, just said in an annoyed voice "and they put me in a chair!" He either didn't know dh's name or didn't understand the question so could only tell them about me and ds1.

MrsF is exactly how I imagined her to be. I still can't believe we finally met.
