...from a neighbour about dd's Major buggy.

It went something like this, complete with the standard incredulous look. "Oh, isn't she too big to be in a buggy?"

Dd is 4, and has difficulty walking (a) because her heart condition means that she gets exhausted very quicky, and (b) her joints are very hypermobile and get sore to the point that she can't walk more than a few steps.

I was surprised about how calm I was. I just explained why she needed it, that it wasn't a "normal" baby buggy, and that we'd had a choice of this or a wheelchair from wheelchair services.

He mumbled an apology, but the more I think about his reaction, (ie, the "you're a complete arse for letting your daughter sit there when she should be walking" thing) the more wound up/bordering upset I'm getting!

I often wonder about people who make those kinds of comments. Do they seriously think someone's going to reply with a "Goodness me! You're absolutely right! Do you know I hadn't even noticed my child is now 4!" and then kick them out of the pushchair???
