Our First Poo Episode!

Of course, we haven't really joined the club because it's not really a proper poo episode. Not compared to some. But it was funny, so here it is....

DD1 as usual was up half the night screaming like a banshee. Bless her. At 6am, off she goes again and DH staggers in to her & changes her in case she's done a poo (she hadn't). We all get up an hour or so later, have breakfast (still in jimjams - it's the weekend!) and DD1 goes back to bed for her first nap of the day. I get her up about an hour later, still tidily dressed in her jimjams. I lift her out of the cot on the rug and notice an amount of poo in her cotbed. Thank the lord, it is very solid due to various dietary nonsense. DD1 is pleased to see me, but blanking the poo entirely (I'm not sure she knows what poo is.) I summon DH to account for this but he is as puzzled as me. There she is, still immaculate in her pyjamas (she doesn't know how to pull them down let alone up again) and there, as large as life, is the poo.

Has the poo teleported from inside her body? Or is it the poo of an entirely differet person/creature, and if so, where have they gone? I can't believe she has been rummaging though her hands are suspiciously clean and I sniff her fingernails just in case. Nada.

It's not till I get her dressed that I work it out - DH in his sleep-deprived state didn't do up one side of the nappy properly. DD1 had pooed before I got her up from her nap, and while she was pogo-dancing in her cot (as she does) the poo made a break for freedom down one pyjama leg.
