hello, some of you may remember that DS who has AS, had the asessment at CAMHS 2 years ago and 1 consultant said yes to AS and the other (boss) said
no, he had severe anxiety and traits of ASD not fully blown.

So we went private, however i wrote to the boss and asked her how she could justify her non-dx of M based on a 45min ADOS test.

Today i received a letter saying:
After talking to Mrs W and going through M,s file i can now confirm that his dx is Pervasive Developmental Disorder.

so, at least i now have it in writing from the NHS.

Now this is the LEA,s main form of defence against me for the tribunal, the fact that there wasnt an NHS dx so they didnt see why they should put him in
an independent specialist school.

so i shall add it in my case statement which has to be in in 3 weeks and when the LEA get their copy we shall see what happens

Have to say after reading that link Jenk I would push for a proper asd dx. As according to that it is mainly a term used in the USA.
