RDI consultant visting UK and looking for another family to work with

We have an RDI consultant coming over from the States in the next month or two and I know that she is looking for other families who want to get started on an RDI programme. So I thought I'd post here in case anyone is interested.

She has posted the following message on the RDI-UK Yahoo site which should give you some info.

"Hi everyone,

I would like to offer a special opportunity for an RDI assessment with
an experienced consultant plus an occupational therapist, within the
next two months. Due to a cancellation, we have an opening for
an "immersion style" RDA, which gives a very thorough assessment and
extra training with hands-on time to practice your home program with
two consultants. This is an excellent way to jump start your RDI home
program and get a good grasp on multiple ways to implement your
program.

If interested, please consult my website for more details:
www.carriesheppard.com or call my office at 253-859-3505 for a
personal consultation. We will be traveling to Europe soon, and the
costs are minimized because they are shared by another family.

Thanks!

Carrie Sheppard"

Sorry being a bit dim really - should have said this before - do CAT me if there's anything I can help with or if you just want to chat about it. If you do go ahead then it might be nice to stay in touch for a bit of moral support.

Thanks - will do - bit nervous about a 51/2 hour dvd!

We watched it in half hour chunks as that was all that Dh would stand . It is quite interesting - I found it very interesting but it probably isn't everyone's cup of tea. To be honest probably the first half of the dvd is more relevant to the early stages. It's a bit outdated now as well as they have revised all the system of objectives but it will give you a good idea of what RDI actually is.

Hi Saker - monica2 has just linked this thread for me as I'm looking at the RDI programme in England for my DS1 with AS.

Do you know when she is coming over and the costs? I will contact her website anyway!
