Opinions on DD's drawing please...?!

Hi all,
So my little one (just turned 5) has some difficulties and will be assessed for further conditions later this year - ASD and any associations.

I may be reading way to much into this and over thinking, but just wanted opinions on this picture my DD made. I'm just keeping an eye out for anything slightly unusual. She was absolutely engrossed in drawing this picture after school. She drew this yesterday and has added more to it this morning before school, since this photo was taken. She is not the best at drawing in general and has seemed a little behind her classmates at drawing actual pictures. But really concentrated on this intricate picture and was totally engrossed. If you look close, it's all the tiny lines and squares that surprised me really! I know she's trying to draw a maze.

I also remember her Key Worker at Pre-School, just over a year ago, finding it fascinating how she drew when asked to draw a pic for her new teacher. Her Key Worker was a Mum of 3 young children and has worked in Pre-School and Reception so obviously well and truly used to seeing young children draw. Again it was a detailed, and quite swirly, unusual picture!

Since starting school, I can see she's trying to draw like her friends.

My H had a few social issues and slight signs of ocd when he was little. He once used about ten sheets of paper to draw a city of skyscrapers - his parents were amazed at the detail but thought slightly unusual, his obsession with it and amazing detail at such a young age!!!

What do u think. You may have to zoom in. Am I being silly and overthinking?! It was just a surprise as she is really not great at drawing, bless her!

I think that drawing is amazing, completely amazing and facinating.
I know this isn't exactly what you wanted but it's probably closer to real artwork seen in galleries than most 5 year olds do.

I think she used a rainbow, multicoloured pencil for some of it, hence the blended colour! Some individual colouring pencils too.

It's interesting as usually terrible pencil control bless her - she is slightly behind with her writing compared to her classmates and didn't reach EYFS target. Reached target for reading (I imagine, just about!) and numeracy (enjoys numbers) but she is in a lower group in class.

I love it. I cannot believe she is only 5! The concentration used in creating a drawing like that is amazing. do whatever you can to encourage it.

She never usually draws like that at all. It was rather unusual and she was totally engrossed in it!

That is utterly fantastic.. I love it !
Ds ( now 19) used to make wonderful drawings and 3D machines out of paper at 4/5 .. Very unusual to what his peers were doing.
I still have some of them ( although now flat) as couldn't bring myself to bin them
I think that one needs a frame !

Oh, I really like this! My DS (4.5) was diagnosed with ASD in May, but he really struggles with using pencils, crayons etc and usually just does lots of vertical lines. This is really intricate and thought out. Bless her! Definitely agree with other posters suggesting a frame!

Absolutely beautiful. I'd frame that. I'd love to know what was going through her mind! It's so important to give our kids the space and time to get lost in things they love. Did you ask her what it was?

I love it! I can see loads of letters in it, I think its much more than lines and shapes!
