We have a Taf for my son next Friday, just got told this morning, now my son wont go toilet in school, probably around once every 6 months, is it too much to ask for a member of staff to take him to the toilet? it cannot be good for him holding it in all the time and because of this he has wet his pants several times at home.

It's a reasonable adjustment. Let them explain how it's not reasonable. Find one person to ask him a few times a day. Five minutes out of the class a pop. Not hard surely?

No its not too much to ask! Sadly we never managed to get the support Dd3 needed with this and she with held fluids for yrs at school!!

We were even told by the so called Asd Lead at her last school that it was fine for her to not go to the toilet ever at school because lots of people do that apparently!!

Such a simple thing to solve! 😔

How old is he? Does the class have a TA?
If there isn't an another adult in the class then the class can't be left to take your DS to the toilet. If there's a TA it shouldn't be a problem, but if there is, would it be enough to just tell your DS to go?
