All the worrying is worthwhile when....

our little man has just been sharing a giggly moment with his baby sister. I was feeding her some apple puree and he was interested. I decided to let him have a little for coming over and sitting on my lap. Well our little girl found this hilarious that her big brother wanted her food (tsk wait til she is old enough for chocolate and it'll be a different matter). She was giggling away and then Daniel joined in and they sat there for a good few minutes staring at each other smiling and giggling. It is the first real interaction they have had apart from Daniel occasionally giving Becky a dummy. She loves her big brother and it was just so touching to watch and it gives me hope!

Not sure what "special needs" Daniel has, but it is times like these that do make it all worthwhile.

Hi there

I have had concerns that Daniel might be on autistic spectrum due to lack of communication skills, no speech, pointing etc. This week he has been showing a little understanding of things we say to him such as "drink", "breakfast" and a game we play "up and down", all little things that are encouraging and it is his second birthday tomorrow so I am feeling good today

So pleased for you. How cute they sound together! The lows may be low but I definitely think the highs are higher when you have a child with SN.
