But has anyone by any chance already added up how much carers allowance they received between April 2014 and April 2015, so that I can have the figure for my tax credits renewal without ferreting out the paperwork and my maths skills? Many thanks if so. I'm leaving it late on the renewal too because my life is a mess.

the just rang the CA helpline and they have me my figures. didn't get it for the full year so my figure won't help you but a quick call will sort that.

I've got it as 52 x 61.35 but i cant remember if there was a Xmas bonus. I am an organisational catastrophe.

yes, it counts as income for TC purposes and means your TC will be reduced (but the gains from CA are bigger than what you loose in TC).
