That I go to Inclusion support panel. I see the draft ehcp and find out if it they decide to issue it or not.
I am only an observer, not allowed to speak. The council SEN person presents my sons case.
This is where I find out if she has listened to the reports provided, or if she made up her mind before the assessment (which I strongly suspect she did)
I am very nervous.
Then I have 15 days to respond and suggest a placement, that is if they agree to issue a draft plan.
If not, the whole 9 months have been for nothing, and he gets permanently excluded from school.

Well, that was better than I thought. They voted unanimously that he needs a plan. Now I have to wait for the council to send me the draft, and send it to local schools to see who can accept him.

That's a great start! I think under the new legislation you are supposed to be involved in the draft plan - have you seen any of the draft yet? You should be able to comment on the draft. We had three different meetings with the Plan co-ordinator to get it into a final form.

I went to a meeting where we discussed the draft plan. She made lots of notes, but I've not seen it typed up, so I'm mot sure how much of what was discussed she actually noted down and will get included.(distrustful face)
