I need to put in a freedom of information request but wondering where I send it to?

Also do I just put my questions in a bullet point format?

How long do they have to respond?

The blurb is here
www.gov.uk/make-a-freedom-of-information-request/the-freedom-of-information-act

They have 20 working days torespond

They can object if it is sensitive information or if it is too much of a burden, so bullet points are a good idea.

I recall something about 18 pages being the rule of thumb.

Good luck

I did a subject access request on my council! They were supposed to respomd within 40 days but it was over 100 before they actually sent all the info I had asked for!! I thought they were being obstructive at one point but actually I dont think they had any clue what I was asking for. I told them which office to go to in the end!!

Hopeless!! Hope you get a faster result sweet Smile

Thank you both. And for the link. I'll have a look shortly.

I really hope it doesn't take that long as the info I receive back partly depends on me accepting a place or not at a particular school.

Thank you. No, I'm wanting to check what they've told me about the school staff (re training on certain conditions). That's definitely foi isn't it?

Thank you for that great response. I'll put the FOI in first, then take it from there
