Does anyone have any experience of tic disorder, possibley with mild ADHD?

At what point did you medicate and did it help?

How do you tell the difference between a tic and OCD?

Hi my ds has had a range of tics but the newest one is a bit OCD. He has to touch everything symmetrically so if his arm touches something his other arm has too. There's lots of shuffling and tapping. I think straight OCD is more anxiety driven so with thoughts like I must do xyz ritual or this bad thing might happen. Apparently they can just grow out of it after puberty.
My ds doesn't have ADHD but has some asd traits and at the moment is very unfocused. His teacher showed me his writing which has deteriorated massively and said he just can't start work easily and then can't stop- transition times v difficult.
There are meds for ADHD and anxiety but my ds doesn't have any but thought I'd reply about the tics etc
