Our SN area is not a substitute for expert advice. While many Mumsnetters have a specialist knowledge of special needs, if they post here they are posting as members, not experts. There are, however, lots of organisations that can help - some suggestions are listed here. If you've come across an organisation that you've found helpful, please tell us. Go to Special needs chat, Parents with disabilities, SN teens, SN legal, SN education, SN recommendations.

This is my only place for support and honest tell it like it is advise. Without you lot i don't know where I would be. I hope that when I have fought my way out from the massive pile of poo in find myself in with the system I will use this anger and no found determination to help others empower themselves.

We really are like the sas of parents. We are the best at fighting as we have been slapped down so many times we have become numb to its effects.

On the morning of my Tribunal, I had several PMs from people on this board wishing me luck. I read them whilst I was in the cafe round the corner from the court-house, just before going in. Even on such a stressful and emotional roller-coaster of a day, I heard the honks of people on this board.

During the hearing, when the LA tried to remove a medical dx my DS has, I'm sure I was severely pecked by someone from here telling me not to let it happen grin
