although we don't have the long nights like you do - I am enjoying the winter sleep ins - at least until 6.30ish. But in summer - no such luck.

I'm assuming you've tried blacking out the room???

Yes, I was whooping with joy when we passed the longest day! Sleep not the problem for us but not being able to go out, use the garden, everywhere full of people, grrr

Oh that's true Davros as well. Going to the beach is very difficult in the summer, I take ds1 quite a bit during the winter. Is your garden shared? I'm a bit dozy because I didn't clock that.

I did elbow dh in the ribs on the night of the longest day to point out it was getting darker from now on. He's been moaning since the clocks changed.

I'd been wondering why ds1's behaviour had been so much worse over the past couple of months and why he always seemed so tired. Turns out he's been getting up as soon as there's even a hint of light outside. Grrrr! Got up at 5am to feed dd and there he was.

having said that - this week with no school etc despite being out and about ( and I think missing dh) dd1 is not getting off to sleep at 7pm her normal time but a bit later around 8.30 - 9pm. Nothing like your time though.

Im hating these sunny light mornings too. I dyed my sons curtains and linings navy blue to keep the room dark. I did have a blind up but my two boys pulled it down so its just curtains up for the time being.
